I'm in for a £1000 worth of shares? (1 Viewer)

Is this the next step?

It would depend on the terms and the plan before I could judge.

Proper fan funding would be the best thing, rather than blindly handing over cash.

I would be interested in buying shares. It seems a good way for those of us who are not super rich to contribute to building the club up again. Also a nice thing to be able to hand on to future generations in the way the old shares were before they had to be handed in to Sisu.

I would quite happily part with £1000 for shares in our club especially if it meant getting rid of the sisu scumbags and even more so the lying toad fisher

£100 & £300 for season ticket

£100 off the 50,000 that scrambled for Checkatrade tickets equals £5,000,000, which is a decent lump to go towards a fund?

Why not just set up a justgiving or crowdfunding page? There'll be no I'm putting in X amount or whatever. Let people give what they can afford.
Nice idea, but can it be refunded if nothing comes of the bid?

Have a look at what Pompey did on Tifosy so people got things in return, a bit like the Legacy Fund stuff.

That would be the best way.

Yeah similar to the PledgeMusic site where you give money towards the recording of an LP. The more you give the more you get: signed copy, handwritten lyrics, etc.

Not sure how it works to be honest, but that would be an issue I guess.

Good idea as long as you don't get a player as I would end up with Finch or Tudgay

Provided contributions were in return for shares, full shares not non voting shares.
PS and of course no SISU.

What shares would they be? Voting shares or just effectively a gift to the club?

Wouldn't it be better yo put season tickets at £400 for a season and include £100 of voting shares and AGM rights?

Some on here claim we will have 10,000 season tickets so that's a million raised by share capital alone.

Realistically, if the deal does include fan ownership how much would people be prepared to put in for shares?

I'm in for a £1000

Would you pledge your money before you know what you get? What is 'fan ownership' and what kind of influence would I have for say £1000? What will the money be spend on - will it be going to SISU?

Knowing that Elliott is part of Hoffman's group, what security do I get that he will not come begging me to hand the shares back for (next to) nothing to save the club in the future?

Shares would be the best way so you spread the risk with the big shareholders.
You would also own part of the club rather than just give money to those that own it.

Without voting rights and right of transfer what's the difference to just giving money?

I'm surprised to hear they've had no dialogue with the trust yet.

I was thinking more of money towards the bid rather than to Hoffman once he hopefully becomes the owner. With every contributor getting X amount of shares dependent on what their contribution was.

I was convinced there must of been but spoke to someone from the trust yesterday who said there hadn't been but the trust were trying to sort a meeting with them.

You roughly know what the deal could be.
Effectively money to Sisu in the future from a share of profits gained from player sales and promotion.
Any deal will be based eventually on how much cash up front Sisu will want.
In that respect this thread could just help enable the big investors to gauge what the fans commitment to buying into the club might be.
Hence also the 'realistic' comment at the start of thread.

The big investors wouldn't use this thread, they would use actual pledges sat in an account.

I think they should try to keep as few people in the loop as possible
