Would work well in charity matches alongside other retired ex city players.

I'd take Baker as we need a set piece man.
Ive a feeling Richard Wood could be next.
* edit..Rotherham want to retain Richard Wood.

Same. I think Baker has still got something to offer. I think McSheffrey was a good player for us before but probably past it now..

Baker would be a 200% improvement on Lameiras mind you even at my age I would be a 20% improvement and probably about as fast

Sheffers relied on pace. That is normally the first thing to go. So no thanks. I would be happy enough for Baker to join if he didn't want much. He could still do well in Division 4. But we don't want to end up with too many older players. So not too bothered either way.

No. Whilst I welcome the odd veteran to add some experience and guile, I think it's time we built a team for the long term, players that will form the backbone of the side for a number of years, the way Burton have and the way Swansea did some years ago.

Somebody mentioned to me again this morning that Baker is a genuine possibility.
Not sure where the rumor came from*, but I've now heard it from 2 sources.

This would only work if we injected a bit of extra pace into the middle of that midfield by also resigning McAllister and Dennis Wise.
