I thought we were allowed to go Northampton if fans chose to? What's the point?

My point is people are grown up adults and can decide if they want to go to Northampton to watch ccfc or go to Ricoh to watch wasps.

Will never watch wasps personally as I wouldn't want what's happened to them to happen to us. Their owners are definitely worse than Sisu, they moved a club permanently.

As for someone who is on the board of the trust going, I'd say it's somewhat inappropriate. It's a position of responsibility whether he is a volunteer or not and for me him being there is saying he's OK with a sports club being moved away from its fans to a location 100 miles away. It gives the message he wouldn't be fussed if Coventry City did the same (not saying that is his view, just how it could be perceived). The trust seem too focussed on being anti-sisu rather than taking a wider view. Sisu are the main culprits but there are others who have not acted in the best interests of CCFC (and indeed to the detriment of).

But who from the trust board has gone to the game?
Just more bullshit to fuel whatever grudge they have against the trust.
It's ok starting a thread and running away when questions are asked, where is the link.

Heard it on the radio. Trying to steal fans I think he said. Rugby team not the football. Will try find a link
I think he may be worried all the fans with a CV postcode may be tempted closer to home.
Believe there are a reasonable number in the catchment.
Let's face it Corporate wise, guests, sponsors etc won't have a tight affinity, like the average fan.
Edit ;- I should add.
If they were to lose a percentage to Wasps I'd imagine they would get replaced by Leicester folk.

Cov v Leicester a massive game back in the day of course.

Them, Moseley, Pontypool the ones I remember being told about more than most. Be nice if the historic rivalry could be revived.

Kind of different though. Leicester didn't move to take fans.

The difference between Northampton and wasps is people that went to Northampton were following the club they always had. Wasps New fans aren't.
Look who actually gives a fuck.
I don't go and don't intend to go.
And would never have gone to sixfields ether.

Still waiting to hear who it was that actually went to this game?

I assume they will just be leaving and the majority of the 29,000 don't have the urge to post on here as soon as it's over, and before anyone says I have, I will happily discuss the England defeat this afternoon in the 7's, USA great win v SA or the golf or the pending fights tonight

I started to like ice hockey and discovered my home city of Coventry has a team so I started supported it

I'm ok with that, but it seems I shouldn't be ?
I mean I don't get the parallel arguments people try and make between wasps and cov blaze as hockey has always been franchised. As in American sports. Ice Hockey is a great spectator sport. Haven't been for a few years but loved it when I went.

But I'm by no means certain, both only happened as there were vacant venues?

Don't support them then.
Don't support them or run for fucking election, is that all you can ever come up with when your mates get a bit of criticism? Hardly helping the trust achieve it's goal of being 'a representative voice of the supporters of the Club' is it? All that attitude is promoting is an echo chamber.
You can see that several people on here are uncomfortable with the possibility that members of the Trust board might go to see Wasps - whether or not they have, the fact that it is even entertained as a possibility is down to the trusts previous behaviour and a lack of clarity on the stance of the trust to Wasps arrival in the city.

No just want to know who this person is unlike you not taking it as gospel.
Some people are uncomfortable no matter what.
Sorry but need to get their heads out of their arses.
Funny how people feel it is alright to have a go but take it to heart when they are asked to help change it.

Its not particularly straightforward but the short version is Solihull Barons (who actually started as Birmingham Barons) went bust. A new team was started up intended to be Birmingham Blaze playing at the NEC. When that fell through they went to Solihull as Solihull Blaze.

That was only every intended as a temporary move and when the Skydome was built they moved to Coventry. A new Solihull team, also called the Barons, started up in 2000 they went bust in 2002. They were replaced by Milton Keynes Kings who were rebranded Solihull MK Kings who went bust after a year. Solihull Kings were formed in 2005 and went bust in 2007.

The current Solihull Barons was formed in 2005.

Pretty accurate. The rink isn't great now but it was falling to bits back then. Went to watch in Solihull as a kid and they were brilliant times. Got boring at times though as the team we had was ridiculously good. Frenchy and Luc were taking home 15 points a game between them almost every week. It's fair to say our netty was obsolete more often than not and even recall one of them sitting on top of his goal during play. FWIW Luc should've been one of the first jersey retirements imo. Frenchie was justified but the other was too. Not many can say they've given so much to one club both as a player and a coach.

Not my thing rugby be it Cov or Wasps. Didn't Wasps ask the fan Base before they moved to the Rico and the majority voted in favour?
By the way, anyone got an issue with me going to watch the darts?

Why would I lie? I'll let the person speak for themselves. They are a poster on here.

Most of the Ricoh was Leicester supporters and the wasps support was made up of a lot of free tickets.

Believe me wasps are fucked long term....

Franchise club and franchise supporters. They deserve each other.

I still don't get how anyone could be unhappy that we moved to Northampton temporarily but don't care that London Wasps were moved away from their supporters permanently. A good mate of mine was left without a club to support when it moved to Milton Keynes. AFC Wimbledon is not his club.

You either are happy or not about franchise teams. If you don't care at all about it don't moan if we move out of Coventry again. The more people buy into franchise sport the more it will happen.

So I find the hypocrisy breathtaking.

Why? Did he or she speak out against Wasps getting moved here?

Also if you are going to start a thread aimed at someone at least have the balls to name them you sad shit stirring little weasel.

Can't take you seriously when you trap off abusing people for suggesting Doyle's age may mean we also need another similar younger player as well to support him.
Then when asked to put your money where your vindictive little mouth is for charity you shrivel up like a slug swimming in the Dead Sea.

Never got the wasps thing, don't understand people who all of a sudden become died hard rugby fans but rarely went to watch cov rugby club. Same people who probably call Man Utd fans glory supporters

Been saying the same thing for ages. Most of the new people who go to Wasps aren't sports fans, if they were Cov Rugby would have benefited from so big gates. They've just been tempted by free tickets and flags. Wasps will need to win the insurance cup, or whatever they win, on a regular basis to keep them coming.

As for the Trust member going... whilst I can't understand why anyone would go, who gives fuck if someone from the Trust does? Read enough shit on here about the Trust not being reflective of all CCFC fans, yet a member goes to watch Wasps against the grain and someone loses their shit!

If you become the voice of something or join a group that has a purpose you have to raise to the task. They should want what is best for CCFC. And doing things that can be seen as divisive shouldn't be done.
