Does it mean their home fixtures will clash with ours?

And be on the same day as CRFC?

I don't give a flying about Wasps and starting to lose interest in CCFC Too, but is any of this a surprise?

Couldn't we play alternative Saturdays if it goes through? If the FA have to sanction it they should have to do what they can to give the least amount of disruption.

Yeah, with Astute on this. Bit of an arsey thing to do but we approach it the same as if there were two major football teams in the city...schedule them at home on alternate weekends.

Don't think this will affect the football club much. Cov Rugby on the other hand...

Just goes to show it matters neither to ccc, Anne Lucas, joy seppala, Sisu, Mutton, higgs trust or wasps. Were just the meat in the fucking sandwich.

If true it's a bizarre one as they tried it the season before this. It hit their numbers but equated to around five games over our season IIRC.
The reality was they play to the tune of BT Sport, ending up playing roughly 66% on the Friday night /Sunday afternoon.
Bewildering choice /decision.

Why are they applying? Its' their stadium...I assume there is alreay some signed agreement with the EFL that stops this?

Just a quick thought here but I don't think Cov Rugby are going to be switching to a Sunday either to accommodate us, So there really should be a method where the EFL and RFU can coordinate dates..
How do Swansea get on down there?

I used to like playing Sunday's because the whole weekend wasn't ruined then ,
But yeah we just get it he piss taken out of us at every opportunity by everyone

Maybe they've worked out they can give away even more free tickets if they play on a Saturday.

Not seen anything anywhere else to confirm this request to the FL either...maybe it is true, maybe it isn't?

If it is true, I would say that Wasps are just looking after their own business interests. Why would they sit in & wait to see our owners next move? They're simply too busy poncing about in Court to destruct Wasps to contribute in any positive way.

I remember when we had a season of playing on a Sunday at Highfield road.
Only problem back then you couldn't get a ticket on the day due to Sunday trading laws.

From a selfish point of view it would be great if games got moved to a sunday due to work commitments

Don't know anything about this particular request other than what is in this thread but there is some background which could indicate they want to play Saturdays. They tried to move to Saturdays when they were playing in Wycomble but their fans kicked off at not being consulted. They then had a consultation and the fans were against it.

If this is true then obviously it completely goes against the promises made when they arrived here and would negatively impact us and CRFC. Remember that in the UK you can't show football on TV on Saturday afternoons. If we start playing a lot on Sundays people have the option to stay at home and watch PL.

Presumably Wasps have had previous dialogue with the FL as we should have primacy according to the regulations but have had games moved in the past due to other events at the Ricoh. Its bad enough to be kicked out for one off events but if they are trying to do this on a regular basis its totally out of order.

It would work out better for us if we could play alternate weeks. No more them chewing the pitch up on a Friday and us playing on it the next day.

If their fixture list comes out first the FL should be able to sort something out. If ours is out first then their sporting body should sort something out....or carry on as we do now.

FL comes out first doesn't it? Also FL is Sky rugby is BT, can't imagine they'll be particularly cooperative with each other.

But surely the Football club should let everyone know before they sell season tickets some people can't make it every Sunday?

Not happy but Saturday, Sunday doesn't matter to me just have to go shopping with the missus on a saturday?
