It's more the handling of it than the cut itself, for me at least.
Double the price of the tickets for the Mark Robins dinner and kit launch to 20 quid, announce it will also be Andy's send off with him keeping 10 quid per ticket sold and that he will get to reveal the new kits. Then as a surprise, Froggatt (or whoever) present him with next seasons kits with 'Harvey' on them and the number 25 for his years of service, all signed by appreciative former players. All the anger would be gone, it would cost the club 2 shirts and the PR would be vastly improved.
Who's to say either him or Froggatt would even turn up. Who says it was the club who pushed him and he didn't walk?? All these conclusions people are making up in their own heads!

The clue is the word redundant. If he'd walked the word would be resigned.
Or he could have chosen to so he got a pay out if they were discussing salaries / jobs etc?

I chose to be made redundant once, it was great as I had a job the next week and got a bit of extra money because I didn't want to re locate.

Hard to say without knowing the details, if it was underhand then hopefully he goes all out for compo.

The clue is you haven't heard anything from either the club or the person involved. Only other people on twitter, which is as almost a reliable source as Gilbert and the CT

The club is poorly run and this situation is another story that will be placed on a long of a list of things that we see every year of a negative aspect. Even if this in the end comes out that AH walked away of his own accord, nothing about this administration shocks me. I don't really know this man, in fact only have met him a couple of times when we were still at HR, but he struck me as a good bloke and never heard a bad word said against him from those in and around the club.

The clue is you're hearing if from twitter not the club. Whether he walked or was pushed is irrelevant. If it was done properly the club would be breaking the news themselves by at the very least publicly thanking him for a quarter of a century of effort. They haven't, so have granted licence for people to speculate. From a PR perspective SISU are already up shit creek without a paddle, in glass canoe. Now they've put on some barbed wire underpants too.

Breaking news: Somebody from behind the scenes at the club doesn't have a fanfare waiting for him on his shock exit!

So just because he's worked somewhere for 25 years he needs a full page spread in the telegraph with thanks from Joy and Timmy? If I'd worked at my place for 25 years, can I have the same too? Full page spread, Twitter speculation, a 10 page thread on sky blues talk?

Looks like he was respected by all the players old and new.
No wonder they wanted him out.

No, not 'just' because he's worked 'somewhere' for 25 years but because during that 25 years all who met him have only had good things to say about him. A loyal, unsung guy doing one of the invisible jobs in a high profile industry surrounded by relatively famous people. If you think that's not even worthy of acknowledgement on the club website then you probably have the club you deserve.

these ex players, commenting on what's going on, and calling for the owners to leave,

its not acceptable......

I think either Andy or ccfc will make a statement or say something.

I agree that after so long and especially being so liked there should be a decent gesture there.

Did he only find out after his job was advertised? Was he offered another role but turned it down etc?

So many things unknown apart from that nobody has ever said a bad word about him which nobody disagrees with.

If it turns out the whole process was dodgy then I hope he takes ccfc to tribunal and gets a decent pay out and with his good reputation walks straight into another job.

If it was done above board then again I hope he gets a decent payment and walks into another job and a decent gesture between him and ccfc. Honorary former players member, 2 season tickets etc.
