I was a fan brought up before and in the J H era the big difference between then and now is us kids then never lost the faith once a sky blue fan you were hooked even when grew into your teenage years worked in a local factory we worked Saturday morning prior to an afternoon game and there was a buzz going round among young and old come 11-15 you would hear the cry from someone"4 hours to magical kick off time", 8 years ago I used to take 4 grandchildren 5,6,7and 8 to the games and they started off starry eyed just like we did , but our owners soon stopped that gradually they gave up coming now not 1 off them goes these are fans lost to the club and sadly these wont come back no matter how well we do . THANKS SISU.

Being a realist like you or me doesn't hold water with a lot on here mate. You either have to be in the "I follow the boys no matter what, so you're not a real fan" or "You're not a CCFC fan so why bother coming on this forum".... You'll never win mate ;)

Because you aren't interested in CCFC whether they win, lose or draw so it's a very valid point isn't it?

Hardly a realist when you are still comparing things to the 60's to prove a point. You will be moaning about door locks next as you didn't need them years ago.

You didn't reply to the video with plenty of Cov shirts in after as an expert who lives in a different country you said that kids don't bother with them.

Where's that been said then?

"Plus, you're not 10. Ask a 10 year old going to the opening game in Aug and no doubt they'd be buzzing."..Quote by MusicDating.
Astute also mentions his son going thousands of miles to watch games. I truly don't begrudge kids watching CCFC...What I do begrudge is owners that have zero intent on progressing this Football Club, which in turn will make the kids think the level of shit football being played is our inheritance to them. I will probably never see the City play in the Premier League again, but I want my Grandkids to., and if that means calling for our shit owners to bugger off at every opportunity I can..Then I will!

Yes, because it was comparing to a 10 year old in the OP.

People will take their kids to watch CCFC whether we are in League 2 or the Premier League.

People are mentioning kids because you are saying things like not bothering with city shirts, then you ignore it when people say otherwise.

Where have I said I'm not interested in Coventry City results? Didn't you read my post after winning the Checkatrade Cup? or do you conveniently choose to have selective memory on that one?
I've got every right to compare owners in the 60's to this shite ownership of today. You're either f**king blind or you've been brainwashed into thinking todays ownership is acceptible. Our owner in the 60's backed it's manager to the hilt, hence we got promotion to the top flight of English football within a few years. this isn't "Rocket Science" Nick,... I've come to a decision, I think you're both!
Finally, Yes there were a lot of CCFC shirts being worn by the kids in the video... "A little hint for you" It was a CCFC kids training day...Btw I also notice, Everton, Arsenal, and a few other shirts being worn too, but it's best we don't go there eh?

Nobody is blind or brainwashed because they still support their football club whether they are in the top flight or not. They would if for example the Trust took over tomorrow and it was physically impossible to be like Bournemouth or any other billionaire owned football club. I'd still support CCFC if Wasps, the Council or Katie Hopkins teamed up with Piers Morgan to take over tomorrow and I'd still take my daughter.

You commented on a game months ago when they have been a few since and a fair bit of football discussion, hardly proves your point does it?

You only want to be angry in every thread you post in.

You're obsessed with the owners. Children aren't. Some adults aren't. Some just have an affinity to the club no matter what league, what players or owners the club has.

We have now signed 7 players, you could say the owners are backing the manager. Alternatively, MR is just doing his job with the budget provided.

I rarely comment on games because I don't see the game...Wasn't it you that said "You have no right to comment on the game Versus Newport on a 10 minute video..Remember?
When this shower do one then I'll be back with my ST. This has been the worst 10 years of CCFC history. You can roll up all the previous owners into one and it wouldn't come near to being as bad as this lot.

You keep just ranting over and over but it doesn't match the conversations being had or what you are replying to.

People who don't see games can comment on football, it's when you act like you are a massive expert and know more than people who were there then you get comments. If I haven't been to an away match I don't then start trying to shout down people who watched the full 90 minutes because I saw a 30 second highlight of a goal to make out I know best about that game.

You won't get a ST, you will find something else to be angry about.

Everytime people start giving it the talk about "the kids" and everytime they get shown to actually have no idea but just wanting something to whinge about.

How many players did we sign a few years back 12-13? and just about every one of them were shit. I've said this dozens of times before, but I'll say it once more just for you....SISU have sold/dumped/let go/let contracts run down and players walk. A decent player on £8k pw got rid of and 3 players brought in on £2k pw that are dogshit equals £2k pw saved on wages..Looks good but is in fact crap.... Rinse and repeat for the next 8 years and "Hey Presto" we're in Division 4 of the EFL.

What will you do if fan ownership happens and it still needs to be a tight ship running within it's means and not a billionaire owner?

Who have we sold this window? Have we not offered contracts to players we wanted to keep? Have we not released players who were no good? A lot of this is to do with the manager not the owners. Still, don't let that stop your crusade.

Are we the only club in history to have sold players? Or dumped some thinking their shit to only turn out good? Players walk if they want, that's football these days. SISU are not to blame for everything wrong with CCFC and football.

I remember growing up in the late 80's/90's being one of thr only cov fans in school, everyone else supported mainly Liverpool or the likes of Everton, Man United or Villa. We were in the premier and it was a rarity to so see cov shirts. I used to get so much crap for supporting cov. In fact of my group of best friends only 2 support city, 3 support Liverpool, 1 united and the other WBA. All born and raised with city in the top flight and on our door step.

Pretty much the same for me, I think I was about one of 3 in my class at primary school and I think the only one who would regularly go to games. Got older and then went on our own with one of them as teenagers.

Mostly Man Utd, Liverpool and Newcastle. Not so much Chelsea back then like there is now.

Still remember going to twin lakes last summer and the excitement of seeing a family go past on a rollercoaster in city shirts.

Westwood wanted to stay. He got shit on from a great height by SISU and totally disrespected by Boothroyd.
Murphy wanted to stay, stating he'd willingly take a cut in wages. SISU weren't interested.
Danny Fox wanted to stay, and has often said in interviews he wants to come back to Coventry.
Baker dumped by Pressley(Wouldn't surprise me one little bit if SISU told him to get rid) already a decent player for the level we were playing at. Helped get MK Dons promoted. Their player of the year too.
Need I go on?
And yes that's true, SISU are not to blame for everything wrong at CCFC. but please be patient with me whilst I try to think of something that they WEREN'T to blame for.

How many times do you want me to reply to this question of yours? I would be happy in the knowledge that owners are CCFC loving people and would be patient for them to to get our Club going forward. I'm 100% certain that in the not too distant future we will have owners that actually give a shit about CCFC and take us on the upward journey through the leagues.

Just by giving a shit doesn't instantly mean promotion or lots of money.

Your examples are all about billionaire owners and rants are about finance.

Westwood? So was it SISU or Boothroyd? Would he want to work for a manager who as you put it had 'disrespected' him? Baker was dumped by Pressley but you're still trying to stick that on SISU. It's desperate. Players come and go. There is no such thing as loyalty in football, look at MR and his sky blue blood. It's not the 60's. Did Murphy leave and take a pay cut? You are solely going on what the players have said, which these days means very little.

Give your head a wobble mate. Not once have I mentioned Billionaires "OWNING OUR CLUB"........ and which part of "I would be happy in the knowledge that owners are CCFC loving people and would be patient for them to get our Club going forward" don't you understand?
*Edit*...There you go, just to clear up any confusion.

Got nothing to do with 60 years ago... Southampton, Chelsea, Man City, Bournemouth, all had backing.
