In all seriousness there might be a sell on as

"The two clubs have agreed an undisclosed fee for his services rather than a figure set by tribunal, which would have applied as Christie is under the age of 23 and he came through Coventry’s Academy system."

But then again there might not be

I guess it depends on who done the negotiation on our side if it was Waggott we are screwed and how much we needed the cash up front

Found this seems waggot was pushing for a good fee and add ons, as to if he got that I'm not sure as I very much doubt the terms of transfer of registration was released.

“There have been various bits of interest from different clubs, both League One and Championship, but as yet the agent hasn’t actually got a deal in place,” revealed City’s development director Steve Waggott who would consider a player swap deal.

“So we retain compensation rights but for the sake of the player, I am quite willing to do some sort of creative deal in terms of player exchange and high sell-on clause to try to ensure the lad gets a club.

Coventry City prepared to get creative in efforts to find Cyrus Christie a new club

CYRUS Christie has joined Derby County on a three-year deal, for an undisclosed fee.

The 21-year-old was out of contract with Coventry City, and the two clubs have agreed an undisclosed fee for his services rather than having a figure set by tribunal, which would have applied as Christie is under the age of 23 and came through the Sky Blues' academy.

Waggot was pushing for add ons at one point.

How is Cyrus Christie getting a decent move? The guy is trash, Derby fans are in disbelief they've managed to get a good fee for him.

Another loan move for Adam Armstrong. 27 man squad named by Rafa for Ireland and not in it. Off to Bolton apparently

He will get loaned for years and then released and go to somewhere in Scotland.

Although not our ex player but a Coventry kid Dan Crowley has signed for Willem 11 in Holland

Really good to see that Murphy (and to a lesser extent Kent) realising their potential. Before the post Xmas slump we had the most exciting city side I watched in years. These were (still are) young kids learning the game. I'm sure both will continue to improve and play at a higher level than they did for us.

I wouldn't boo anyone, especially a young kid low on confidence. They play for Coventry and booing them doesn't make them play better. Kent was good for us I liked him. Murphy was fantastic for us as his stats show

The stats show he was anything other than fantastic.

- Played in all but one of the games we lost that season.
- Scored nearly all his goals across three weekends only (was one of if not the worst player on the pitch for at least 20 of the games he played in).
- The team got better at the end of the season when he got dropped.

Very similar stats with Norwich this season, and his abysmal performances then coincided with their manager getting sacked. He also got dropped at the end of the season and their results improved.

Kent was also not very good at all. Couldn't pass, cross, or shoot. Like Barnsley this season, scored and assisted once. Absolute shocking stats. People liked watching a stepover, but it never came to anything. The team was better without him. In fact, our downfall that season was man management and team selection. We were already averaging 3 goals a game, we had too many luxury players that the manager tried to accommodate .

I have to agree with them. Plenty on here that thought he was good though for some reason.
I thought Christi was a good player. Sorry to see him go and would have him back if we could. Others obviously think he is a good player otherwise Ireland wouldn't have picked him and Middlesborough wouldn't be spending money on him.

He was booed for a reason of course...

People have short memories, just like with Kent :)
I can't think of any reason to boo one of your own players in a game. You want them to do well and perform as well as they can. Giving them abuse will have the opposite effect.
I always felt Murphy gave his all. Sometimes he didn't play well but that is down to being a human rather than not trying. I liked Murphy and thought he did well for us. Norwich holding out for 16m outdoor show how highly they rate him.
*just seen the 12.5 figure accepted. Still a good price.

I don't agree with booing either, but it does seem like a lot of our fans suddenly have short memories. He should have been dropped countless times, which was why a lot of fans were sharing their frustrations.

Reading a lot of Norwich fans reactions they seem to think they have a great deal, and an ideal replacement in his brother who many believe is actually a better prospect. I've been hearing all the things that I and many others noticed at the time with him from Norwich fans. I'm afraid I politely disagree with you when you say you felt he gave his all. I felt he did the exact opposite in most games he played.
