Mansfield have certainly brought in a load of new players but going on their friendlies so far they have not jelled yet, apart from the odd non league team they have lost the lot. It takes time for the team to knit but that fat wanker no doubt will get them in the top three.
Luton look very strong to me, though their supporters are concerned about their defence which apparently is very dodgy.
All in all we will finish top and I don't give a flying horseshit who comes up with us

I'd take third. I'm not going to allow myself to believe it's possible just yet though so the reality is I'd take scraping into the playoffs on goal difference. To be honest I'd take anything that isn't relegation.

A game is never won or lost before a ball is kicked.

But.... I think we have one of the best... if not the best squads. I think we have one of the best.... if not the best managers. Lots of teams will have the budget for a whole squad that we have for our 1st team alone. We have signed winners. Many have signed maybe's. Our away support at some games will be about the same as some home support we come against. We will make more noise. We will look at some team sheets and know that none of their players would improve our team.

Some people need to take a reality check and look at some of our opponents. If we put as much effort in as them we will win more than we don't. Our season will come down to how we do against the sides near the top. I would feel a lot better if we brought in a proven goalscorer though.

I did the CCLSC forecasting competition for the forthcoming season and when I added up all of the points, it came to 78 which ought to be enough for 4th based on last season's table, which sounds about right.

Im not even thinking of promotion until the transfer window shuts after Xmas... How many times have we been bubbling along nicely then something happens in that window which kills our momentum stone dead?

Our team is good, but a couple of injuries and we are in trouble. There isn't a lot of depth.

CB is a position that needs strengthening along with a new winger and potential star striker.

Think we can have a good season though.

At least we have depth. We also have players that have come through the ranks and have a bit of experience at a higher level.

There will be a few clubs that will be lucky to put a team together without players totally in their wrong position. I have watched football at this level before. It will be a season of mis-timed tackles and high balls into our area.

Really looking forward to everything except for the high ball.

Any sort of promotion, auto's or play-offs. I'd back us to win at Wembley too, seeing as we've only lost once out of 3 :joyful:

defo need cb and winger. 2 of each if reid and turnbull go.

i think MR will use ponticelli as 5th striker and use Finn and DKE,spence(if hes still here?) as rotational back up wingers

Our current squad will be around 10th in my opinion. GT a couple more signings could see us into the playoffs

Adrian Durham said he expects us to come straight back up
He rates Robins. Likes Mcknulty, Vincente and Biamou
He said if we keep Robins we will come straight back.
He said he also gets it why we have issues with owners.
Goughy questioned if we have reached rock bottom yet or can we fall further

How accurate were the pre-season odds last season? Can anyone dig them up?

so this was last year - we were expected to finish mid table by the bookies
Fleetwood/Southend massive over achievers
us being the real only under achievers (43 points behind Fleetwood!)

I hope the Mansfield chairman has lots of money and happy to spend it because Steve Evans will be in his office everyday demanding more and more
The minute it goes wrong Evans just moans and moans that he needs more players.
