Some bits were missing. The dugout had the covers missing (I could see the blutack still on the walls) and lots of advertising hoardings were gone. Are those running our club buying up bits and pieces for our new stadium ?

Actually, you're right. It was "Jap Car Spares" that was missing from behind them. It just looked bare. I always assumed it was covered. How wrong I was .

The match day ground situation is a disgrace, took an age to get in as usual some tickets worked some appeared not to, at the cash turnstiles because it's £24 pay on at the gate the turnstile operator is scrambling about for change, that ain't the clubs fault but just another ball ache to get over.then they run out of food, according to Mr Fisher one of our only sources of income and when there is food queues are ridiculous just not enough staff behind the counters, refreshments ? bring your own.

Said on another thread that if Allsopp were taken from the pitch side advertising boards there would be virtually nothing left. Must have lost a slice of revenue there.

They certainly need to get the ticketing sorted out as I am sure it will put people off. We bought our season tickets in May. Mine came on Thursday but no sign of my son's. No paper ticket through the post either so he went to the tickret office about 2.20 on Saturday. There were two queues one for pre-paid tickets, one for people buying on the day, apparently no one to ask which one to join. He joined the pre paid queue and when he reached the counter, after queuing for a long time was told "No, wrong queue, you will have to join the other one". He refused as by this stage he would be missing the start of the game. After standing while the assistant served other people, another person game over to deal with him. He couldn't find his season ticket, they had no record that it had been bought. (I had bought the two tickets on the same day). My son was able to tell them the row and seat numbers we had moved to and they could then see the seat had been purchased. The solution was to issue him with a paper ticket, disable both our plastic tickets and issue two more paper tickets for Tuesday. As I had dropped him off at the stadium before parking, he assumed I would be in my seat by this stage, which I was was, so disabling my ticket didn't affect me. When he asked the manager when his ticket problems would be sorted he was told to give them a call next Friday. He eventually got into his seat at 5 past 3. There were still large queues of people outside of the stadium.
Now in the grand scheme of things, this isn't a huge issue for us. We had a great afternoon, loved the way the team played and the game went. However, the consistent bungling of ticket issues does need to be sorted out. It is no good saying it is down to Ticketmaster as they are employed by the club and it is the club who decide to use them. Two rounds of season ticket sales have now been handled less than satisfactorily by these people and the club need to make sure it doesn't happen again.

The advertising boards were not put out I assume, they usually cover over the electronic ones they use for the Rugby. I did think that they might have decided to use the electric ones but obviously that didnt happen.

Lack of advertising was strange. Are they struggling to find local businesses to sponsor?
Not everyone wants to pay the cost of advertising; everyone evaluates its effectiveness.
Maybe the crowds are so small, they feel they aren't reaching enough people of the right demographic.

Car parking was a farce too... I got to car park C at 2.10 to be told i needed to have booked a space (always parked here never a problem) got redirected to the stadium after queuing for ages was told the car park was full (fuming now) eventually parked at christ the king... got to the stadium and queued to go in when we got to the turnstile we were told that the downloaded tickets wouldnt work in that one... fucking bunch of incompetent wankers

Sounds like you had the opposite experience to me yesterday.

At about 2.40 whilst queuing to get in and as the rain started to come down, me and my daughter were in one of the very long queues to get into Block 22. Stewards came up to the three queues and said we have opened more turnstiles up and come in over here. Queues halved, people got in quicker and drier. They didn't need to do it, but it saved a lot of us from getting soaked so on this occasion they did a great job.
