A winger who is the slowest player on the pitch, can't beat a man, poor first touch, gets no crosses into the box... any other attributes you can think of?

We created more when he was on mind you. Nazon was even less effective.

That's because Nazon isn't a winger either

Never been any good remember him being in the Aldershot team 4 or 5 years ago and he was poor then. No technical ability.

Think he should be part of plan B. Stick him as no. 9 and pump up to him and McNulty.

Looking forward to you starting off a Biamou, McNulty ad nauseum threads. Let's support them and give them time until they gel as a team. I want to see half a season of them before being judgmental about individuals. They are the players we have for the season - better supporting them than pulling them to pieces, surely?

He plays as a wide-midfielder, and not as a winger, don't conflate the two. We have a direct, pacey and skilful winger in Jones...

Either play him central, or don't play him at all. He should have been off at half time yesterday, it was clear that Vincenti was a waste of space.

With only one proper winger, Robins should consider playing more narrow once Haynes returns. Jones has looked good when he goes down the middle, so he could fit in possibly behind the striker.

I agree that Stokes isn't offering much going forwards at the moment which isn't helping Vincenti, he seems to have regressed a little. I'd like to see Haynes in the team and then hopefully he can offer the width on the left hand side, with Vincenti tucking inside.

I judge players on their body language pulling into the car park before the game first game of the season.

you wonder if wing backs would suit us.

Haynes and Grimmer are better going fwd than defensively. Would mean we could have Stokes, McDonald and Willis at the back. 2 holding midfielders, 1 in the hole and 2 up top. Wing backs creating the width.

We had 11 poor players yesterday but listening to the fans behind me you would think only Vincenti played badly. He passed the ball well, wins headers and but for a flag would have scored the winner. City fans always require to have a player they hate this season its Vincentis turn.

I never thought I would say it bt Carl Baker would offer more than we are currently getting creatively. He is a free agent.

Anyone who slags a player off after 5 games needs to give it time before judging them.

But he is utter dog shit though!

Whenever the going was tough baker was always shite.

Exactly right. Remember our last game in the Champ v Southampton away, he was ducking out of challenges that were 60-40 in his favour and crossing the ball into the stand with no oppo player abywhere near him.

Vincebti seems the weakest of the summer signings. I have seen him 2-3 times now ans he looks lightweight and off the pace. Nothing wrong with his attitude or work rate, he just doesn't look good enough. Starting to think the same of Kelly, too.

No. I think you find at least McNulty, Kelly, O'Brien, Grimmer, Biamou and Davies have also come into critism already

I'd say Biamou has had a lot more stick.

Plays as a wide midfielder, not a winger, in a team that's had no central midfield all season. Just the latest scapegoat for fans who are angry and pissed off because 'we're shit' but don't have the peripheral vision to see where the real problems lie. Got an excellent assist in the week vs Shrewsbury when he cushioned the ball superbly into McNulty's run, which drew the penalty for the equaliser.

People need to have a balance sometimes. It is right to say Burge played well, McNulty also done well etc etc and Jones got the plaudits after his Notts County performance and rightly so. But when they don't play well and people criticise and give their opinion they get shot down as it's "not helping".:emoji_thinking:

And he can't head a football ball , professional footballer, do me a favour !

Currently watching the game back at work and Vincenti's chances from headers were not as easy as they looked at the time.

He's not up to speed yet and he's admitted that himself I think. Missed a lot of football last year and it's showing so far.

Still closest to being out saviour yesterday.

He wins his fair share of free kicks by falling over. Other than that I don't see much value in him. He looks like a clown on stilts.

He's not particularly impressed me so far, but then again it doesn't seem like the system we are playing suits him. Clearly an honest professional, so willing to give him another few games.

He's a weird sort of player, he has a habit of being able to steal the ball away and when he does win headers they are always directed well. He goes give so many needless fouls away, I am not sure if it is just because he is pretty blatant with them but I'd say most of our fouls came from him.

He does actually have pretty good feet for a tall fella and sometimes manages to take the ball out of the air and bring it down. I think he would probably be better more central, not as a striker but as attacking midfield. That way he can potentially get the ball, lay it off and then get in the box.

He isn't an out and out winger so he isn't going to fly down the wing doing step overs.

Worth reminding ourselves of this:
Vincenti has described himself as a "utility player" and considers his versatility as an asset. When Vincenti was signed by manager Peter Taylor at Stevenage, he was originally deployed as a defensive midfielder, and would often play a "holding midfield" role. Taylor described Vincenti as a box-to-box midfielder, saying he provides both defensive and attacking prowess. Vincenti says that his favourite position is at attacking midfielder, where he "can make late runs into the box and hope to get on the end of any crosses". He also says he is comfortable playing in central midfielder and as a forward, but would ultimately "play anywhere the manager tells him to". As for his strengths, Vincenti is "most comfortable with the ball at his feet" despite his 6 ft 4in frame. He does consider his height to be an "attacking threat", which is one of the reasons he likes to arrive late into the box.

So I think it's fair to stay that sticking him out on the left of midfield and aiming every goal kick at him isn't going to get the best out of him. People should go back and watch his goals for Rochdale - we're simply not playing the right system at the moment which is in turn driving the wrong style to suit our players.

Not the worst idea in my view. I'd still want at least one of those two holding midfielders to be prepared to play further up the park for spells where we are on top though.

He mostly played centrally for Rochdale and was very effective in that position. He does seem to have lost some pace since his injury granted but i'm still pleased to have him in the side. At the end of the season i'll hold my hands up if i am proved wrong but i do believe he will come good.

The theory is ok if we're trying to get better width but practically where does someone like Jodi Jones fit into that shape? It limits him to the hole and while his decision making is improving, it's the key position in that formation and i wouldn't fancy him in there yet plus the current flexibility to switch wings is something that I do think is working well right now. I don't think Grimmer is technically good enough on the ball to play a wingback role either, some of his short passing has been ropey.

Essentially it's playing 5 defenders and 2 holding midfielders. Plus the keeper that's 8, leaving just 3 out and out forward players. That balance doesn't work in L2 for me while teams are happy to take a point of us - we simply need to unlock the middle of the pitch right now with someone who will create more than Kelly and play 20 yards higher.

Kelly and Doyle don't drive forward with the ball, if there was a stat for distance travelled with the ball it would be very minimal.
