I'll probably be trying to beat sw 88 to it, no idea how he types so much quickly. I just miss words like caveman

Score first, we win. Don't score first, it'll be another painful evening!

Hope he goes with Nazon up top with Beavon tonight. This is where another winger would have come in handy i.e. to replace the ineffective Vincenti. Maybe Devon will get a go.

That's how things have panned out so far, but, I hope sooner rather than later we get that comeback win. It's going to be important if we're going to well. Otherwise we'll be in a cycle of 'win one, lose one' like in MR's first spell.

Even with all the potential injuries/suspensions the team still looks strong enough to win, which shows the depth of the squad. I doubt other teams in L2 would be in the same place.

I'm hoping Ponti gets a run out tonight, but expectations aren't too high. Equally, I don't particularly fancy the Duck, I think he looked lazy off the ball on Saturday, so would need to think about the best place to play with that in mind.

Vincenti offers an outlet and positionally works hard, but I'd love to see some pace on the wing, just look at the fear Jones causes, so to have it on both would surely be beneficial.

I'm hoping for a better game of football tonight, but I'd take the 1-0 regardless of the standard.

One area where we did well last season was win home games in midweek. Two of MV's four league wins were homes on weeknights, plus the win over Pompey and the Checkatrade results. I'm on.

After I spent the last few days slagging off Beavon I reckon he'll have a good game and nick a goal or at the very least a very skillful assist.

I'll go for a 2-1 win.
I hope Ponticelli gets at least 30 minutes.

Can't go tonight as I'm playing myself, looking at that line-up I think it'll be 0-0 unfortunately.

On a side note, we couldn't give our season tickets to anyone, no-one wanted them!

I'd say SHFWF but it's been like that since I can remember. Think I've managed to give a season ticket away once in over 20 years.

Clean sheet, 2-0 win, but not easy.

Vincenti and Beavon. Ponticelli to get a 12 and a half minute run out.

I see Tom Bayliss is on the bench. Highly rated isn't he?

I wouldn't have Nazon anywhere near the midfield myself. Rather give one of the Kelly Evans brothers a game and move Vincenti infield.

Kelly ahead of Doyle if you're only playing one defensive midfielder.

Not seen enough of us to disagree, but surely being Captain has to count for something? Also every team doesn’t need a Kelly ;)

Right you sky blue fuckers, had a bunch of ups and downs today, need to end on a high please.

3-0 Beavon hatrick, it all clicks, season starts here.

(It’s going to be 0-0)

Sister-in-law said the weather wasn't great, another just couldn't be arsed and lastly another friend hasn't been back in touch after messaging him. Certainly is SHFWF!

Not sure I can be arsed to sit at the Ricoh all night on a wet stormy Tuesday.

Might have a lie down. Can someone come and wake me up at half time please.

Good test for beavon and duck, hopefully Kelly will push on like at the weekend too.
Think the key to that will be a high back line, we've been pretty deep since that ball over the top caught the defence out at Yeovil (when O'Brien came out like a loon). 2nd half vs Port Vale was much higher and the gap between the strikers and defence wasn't so huge.
