It's a shame if he still hasn't managed to get the help he has needed. I "think" he tried to commit suicide a couple of years ago and luckily survived and it was a massive sign he needed urgent help.

Hopefully it will be ok and somebody somewhere can help him.

Interesting bloke, he won a game show a few years ago called Britain's Brainiest Footballer....always seemed a cut above the meat-head typical footballer type (if there is any such thing). He's only been missing for a few hours and most people reported missing turn up safe and well, but there is obviously cause for concern. He admitted alcoholism and other problems and we know he tried to kill himself. Must be so hard for his family.

Remember seeing him on Question Time and he was very articulate and spoke well on many subjects. My wife remarked at time that he was more thoughtful and concise in all his answers then any of the politicians on that panel.
Glad he has been found and hope his mental health issues are treated.

See....that's standard.

Really feel for the guy. He always has come across very logical & rational in his 'political' roles.

But I also feel for the poor truck driver he traumatised on his last publicised suicide attmept - but he doesn't get much press sympathy at all from what I can see.

Glad he's been found.

Have they said it was related to his mental health where he went?

It was the van driver who witnessed the accident and swerved outta the way to miss him that took his own life sadly, he also tried to help Carlisle after he was hit.
I believe the actual lorry driver that him also has recurring nightmares and flashbacks, tragic all round.
