Seem odds on for the automatics now about one third of the season has passed. They are consistent, something Sky Blues are not. I will be amazed if we manage to go up automatically- even the play-offs seem a challenge.

We’re still in the mix after a bad result. Next 2 games are at home where we are much stronger and can actually score goals. I expect us to get 6 points and that keeps us near the autos. The Luton game is massive at the end of the month.

Yeah, think the season is over already. I might stop going up and just accept our chances are blown. That first defeat in 6 matches shows we are not good enough.

One defeat in how many? Yesterday was just a set back and we will face a few more during the remainder of a marathon season. By the way we only conceded ONE goal!

VOR is premature in naming the 3 teams nailed on for autos, and it’s too early to write us off. He is right to express concern, however, we were second best yesterday, and played poorly at Barnet. Our lack of goals is stark, and there are legitimate questions regarding tactics and team selection. At this moment, I think play offs look more likely than auto’s, but there is still time, and I hope i’m wrong.

Much will depend on the owners backing the manager again. If Robins feels a need to strengthen will SISU support him or will they do their usual cash in act after Xmas .

I'm sorry, but with regards to the 'usual act', who did SISU cash in on in January 2017? Offers came in for Willis, Lameiras and seemingly a not inconsiderable fee from Brentford for Stevenson, and yet all of these were rejected. In hindsight, given his performances since Christmas, if you now offered £1 million for Stevenson, I would snap your hands off...he has been complete garbage this whole calendar year

More importantly we scored 0.
As has been the case in nearly 40% of our games this season.
You can't win the league on clean sheets alone.
Let's get a striker in January!

just the 30 odd games to try and claw a way back in. Do you think we'll have enough time?
The problem isn't the amount of games we have left,It's can that team put together a run that can ensure a top seven place. On the evidence of our last two away performances I am worried

Nonsense.

Same as ever, Cov fans over reacting when we win and when we lose. This season was never going to be straight forward and there will be more frustrating defeats for sure. We are one decent goal scorer away from an excellent chance of automatic promotion.

6 points in the next two games is possible and expected, that will put us back in the top 3/4.

Yeah, in the lower leagues the top 3 after 13 games rarely changes for the rest of the season, what absolute nonsense,

At the risk of attracting a fair amount of flak, I think VoR makes some valid points. The danger is that the goal drought continues and unless the defence maintains it's impressive form to date, we will slip down the table, out of contention. Inconsistent teams don't tend to get automatic promotion. And before anyone jumps down my throat, I hasten to add that I fervently hope that our strikers live up to their name and we lay the league to waste.

Lets not over react. We are a few tweaks away from getting it right. Lets ensure we win the next 2 home games and then reassess.

Exeter just lost 2 on the trot and turned it around, Accrinton have lost two at home on the trot. Luton are the ones we need beat

I'm not sure there's much over-reaction going on, (though "grow up" baffled me), nor am I sure that MR knows what the tweaks are that are needed to ensure we win the next two games.

Nothing has changed in my eyes, were not quite strong enough for the autos but a good enough side for the play offs. Staying in the pack till xmas is what's required now, it's the 4 months after xmas that is when promotion is won and lost.

Still early days but goals need to come soon or naturally it's hard to keep up.

I still think we will go up with Luton and one other, the lack of goals does concern me as it was obvious straight away that the ones we have hardly score just look at their records.
