Good players will make chances for themselves not just rely on others to put it on a plate for them. There is a reason that JJ and Duck are our leading scorers. They are simply much better than McNulty and Biamou.
Agree to a point but all good scorers require service, look at Lineker for an example

Playoff spot and 6 points from top not good enough for you in october?
I've liked that, but going back to the team - yes we are doing well but I think most people agree that our mostly positive run of results has masked some flaws. The main one being, of course, that only Duck and JJ look like scoring for us. From recent games it seems that teams have decided to concentrate on keeping Jones quiet - so for the rest of the season, we'll be struggling to stay in contention if we can't get goals from other sources and the lack of goals from the other 4/5 strikers on our books is a cause for concern.

so if some teams have figured out how to stop jones do you not think robins is capable of getting ccfc to attack a different way? nothing is set in stone, we could be playing very differently in a months time

we have the solid base, now its time to build upon that

I worry that other thank Jones and Duck, we don't have many effective attacking options at MR's disposal. That's why losing Andreu was such a blow. I personally said we needed another winger in the squad to provide an extra option, but was shouted down as being unrealistic.

If Baker's contract in India happened to be cancelled and he became a free agent, could we sign him and play him straight away i.e. before the window re-opens?

Has he tweeted something?
No, I was just thinking of our need for a winger and the fact that on many occasions British players go out to exotic overseas hotspots only to return pretty quickly. Wishful thinking Nick!

Oh come on Baker? If you are into the realms of wishful thinking I would have Gareth Bale on the wing.

For giddiness sake the guys a dud , note some of the same people here supporting him were the same creaming their underwear about Stephen Hunt , I called it then at the start and calling it now he is a dud Kevin Kyle wannabe except the man who works as a ferry caterer did score goals in the championship for us , utter non sense on this thread his time will be up soon but like I said earlier a dud , a dead cat bouncing on nothing . Future ball boy !

Like I was saying .... I don’t believe those who tried to defend him on this thread have actually any clue how to play football except on PlayStation . It has been clear for some time he is not up to the job and yes tonight again he has had chances , anyone care to disagree still?

Yep, he had 2 good chances tonight. There was still another striker worse than him though.

His general play is decent enough, holds the ball up well and wins plenty in the air. But sadly his finishing is terrible.
Its really weird, everything else is fine. Not spectacular but good enough, but you get the impression he could play all season and not score a goal.

What was expected of him though? He only got 10 in 39 for Sutton in non-league and before that 9 in 45 in whatever the CFA is.

At his age he's not an up and comer that it will suddenly click for.

Biamou......what a shocking excuse for a player ! Lazy, half arsed non league plodder. Should have scored at least two tonight but is talentless . Thinks he's made it already. Embarrassing !

Funniest thing I heard tonight was the guy at the bar asking if he could buy a heart for our number 9 please!

The guy is shocking. I watched Robins after one his headers or attempted efforts and was truly pisses off with him. Doubt we will see him for a while now. Out of his depth and needs taking out for his own good.

Have defended him up until now, but it seems like he struggles to hit the target with his head never mind his feet!?

Agree-needs taking out now and has had enough "chances" to impress.

Agree with the comments on here. He isn't good enough. As simple as that. He is a passenger and when he does get that chance he misses. He is of no use to us whatsoever.

The others needs kicking up the arse also but biamou for me is just out of his depth and appears lazy. For me he offers nothing and I mean in any shape or form. He isn't fast, he isn't a good header, he doesn't score any goals. He gets no assists. Sorry whatever is there I don't see it.

He really should of put one of them headers away for sure last night there's no hiding from that and it's clear he's not clinical but he's pivotal to our link up play unfortunately in the attacking areas. This was obvious to see when he was taken off.

3 attacking players behind him offered less last night and that's not a great stat to hold.

He gets the abuse because he missed to me a couple of simple headers his job is also to score goals.

I'd stick with him and play 2 running off him. He wins plenty of headers and flick on's but hasn't had the best of time in front of goal. There were2 worse strikers in our team last night but Biamou got the abuse again.
Completely agree. He is wrongly being seen as the scapegoat for last night. He should have scored at least one of his headers, but overall he played quite well was constantly involved. I don't get this lazy nonsense. Both Nazon and McNulty were worse, and Jones was no more effective.

Those that boo'd him should be embarrassed with themselves. C-units.

He's the easiest to target for many, didn't help his cause by missing 2 respectable chances booed off yet he contributed more than Nazon, McNulty and JJ all night.

What did any of the 3 in behind offer.

he's stepped up from non league and he clearly needs more time, we've got two strikers who are supposed to be proven at this level with one goal between them, that's more of a worry.
Still, at least our boo boys have got their latest victim, they must have been getting anxious.
