Don't challenge a word of what you have said except that he hasn't met with anybody within Sisu as yet.
He may turn out to join the litany of chancers but he also may turn out to be Brian!

Exactly, he hasn't. Yet he claimed a fair bit he also hasn't done too.

Is it not telling that CWR actually put him in touch with Mark Horby? So it seems his first stop was CWR.

Well going on the radio and pissing off the people you need to deal with (which is already notoriously difficult) before you've even had a verbal conversation with anyone is an odd way to go about it if you're not a chancer. He should have just privately got in contact with Hoffman and offered him 10 mill to the takeover fund.

Maybe he is just a pretty normal bloke that’s got lucky hence his unprofessional approach. If not then he could be another dhindsa. Either way don’t care until he’s paid for the club in cash
Dhindsa? Is there another person that we don't know about who should be thrown into the takeover mix?:emoji_thinking:

I have no idea if he is a chancer however don't you want him to be a lifeline.
Fan, local, wealthy, tell me do you really give a shit about the sensitivities of Sisu? If the money is right they will be out of the City and that is something I will say amen to.

That solicitor (I think it was a solicitor) from Cov a few months ago
That guy in America who was launching a crowd funding website

It's not so much caring about SISU's feelings, it's more about seeing how serious / credible it is.

Just realised I haven't actually checked my euros ticket from last night....Hold tights lads, just need to find it.

And the only way we will find out is time, we can't influence so we have to just wait and see.

But people are commenting on what's come out already though.

You would think a serious / credible takeover person wouldn't need to be pointed to a contact at the club by CWR though wouldn't you?

It's like saying give me a chance up front today, because I have a pair of Predators and captained my school team. Then saying that Jose Mourhino coached me from birth, when really he RT'd something.

Well on the evidence of two recent games I saw Nick, you couldn't do worse up front!
Now back to Dale Evans. He admits he is new to money and is looking at an emotional purchase. His approach is unorthodox but what has orthodox got us in the past generation?
My view is let it play out. Best case scenario brilliant, worst case nothing lost.

Not sure why this has generated such strong reactions. I’m literally non-plussed. No point letting CCFC related news impact emotions anymore, otherwise I’d be constantly depressed.

In terms of the bid, I doubt he meant any harm, he’s probably well intentioned, just well out of his depth.

To be fair, as a fan if I won millions one of my initial next steps would be to investigate buying the club.

Me too, but the first thing I would do would be to seek some financial advice and legal counsel.

If he doesn't engage his brain he will not have the money very long. My experience of gamblers is they do not hold on to their winnings.
To win £12million you have to bet big.
Anyway, the story is all bullshit. A fantasy in the guys head.

There's no evidence that he has any new found wealth.

Would your first step be to go to CWR to be given contact details for the guy who is pretty well known at CCFC anyway and then claim you had done things you clearly hadn't though?

No and I’m pretty sure I didn’t suggest that I would? Hence the use of the word ‘investigate’.

Dhinsa, Alki David, Manhattan Capital, Preston Haskell (the third or was he second) Hoffman & Co,have I missed any- only 2 were credible / genuine Hoff & Manhattan
From what I've seen he may be genuine but is currently lacking credibility

What if he goes to Hoffman, offers him the cash to add on to the bid they put in earlier this year?

Would SISU sell for say £20million plus the add ons Hoffman offered?

It's a scenario that would happen if any of us on here won £120m on the Euro Millions. None of us would really know how to take over the club, but we may part with some of our money to help buy the club up front.

He's at the game today and has said he's willing to talk to anyone.

The real test is whether he gets the beers in at half time. That will tell if he has the £££.
Please tell witch bar.

Anybody who has the mindset to be a professional gambler should not be running a football club.
You have to have a certain risk/reward mentality and not conducive to running a business.
Oh come on, Bryan Richardson did it for years. Wait a minute!

So have our current owners. The very nature of a hedge fund is to gamble. Whether that be on project premier league or judicial reviews. TBF to this guy he does at least seem to be able to make a gamble come of, clearly no business acumen though. Best thing he could have done was talk to Hoffman in the first instance.

Given that it is the club bringing the latest JR and not the owners I would suggest that trying to buy the club is a pointless task anyway until JR has been exhausted and that could be years yet.
