I can't even explain/think what Collins was even trying to do.
Absolutely embarrassing.
I'm lost for words to be honest.

If we think of Tyler and Bell, surely they would be an improvement on what we have witnessed recently??

This is one of the problems with the model. You end up with players like Collins on four year contracts. I can't believe anyone in the Championship would take him off our hands but we are obviously going to have to find much better for next season.

Every player makes terrible mistakes but the problem is he has been doing it every match at least once.

Every ambitious team has a top keeper relative to the league they are in ….. it’s such a critical position for giving the whole team confidence ….

If money is tighter this summer keep Bidwell and use that planned upgrade money to buy a proven keeper

All our goalies suck. Not sure if all 3 including Aled Williams need to get the boot.

The cost of not getting in the playoffs/autos is surely way more than cutting our losses with him.

Continuing with him is suicide - he is not a goalkeeper.

A decent, steady keeper probably gets you 5-10 points a season. Our goalies are contributing towards shit goals and losing points.

Tbh Collins was fine until he was randomly dropped, but he's been very poor since returning to the team. I'm hoping it's addressed by Robins and I would quite like to see forum favourite Johansson coming in.

Think this will be the case. My mate works in media for Blackburn (used to work for Coventry in 2021/22 so I used to get info out of him) and he got talking to Wilson after the away game. Robins has made it clear to Wilson he should look elsewhere; he’s just bought a house in Stratford so he’s fuming

He’s said this to a few of more of the squad players too, as Saddlebrains has mentioned

He's genuinely done this twice where it looks like the rules are he's not allowed to touch the ball

Tyler got injured in pre season and hasn't even featured in an u21 game. Not sure if he's even training yet

Keeper on loan wouldn't be a bad idea preferably with plenty of experience from a PL club. There's usually a few of them around. Collins just isn't cutting it for me .

What worries me even more than his lack of aggression, inability to command the box, the way he slows us down by not releasing the ball early, his poor distribution, the way he punches balls into his own net, the shadow boxing of the ball is that he's actually getting worse as each week goes by - though he may have peaked with today's second goal

Obviously my opinion of Collins has plummeted in recent weeks and it is an open competition for the #1 shirt between him and whoever else is here in the summer. But if we have millions of pounds to spend in the summer then it will go a lot further if we invest that money outfield. And spinning the wheel once more on yet another Moore/Collins/Wilson calibre keeper isn’t likely to get us anyone much better either. Don’t think Robins has really covered himself in glory with how he’s managed this current corps.

Collins is awful, he needs to go, problem is, we're now stuck with a shite keeper on the wage bill for another 3 years, we'll have to bite the bullet on him and loan him out to a League one/two side and just hope someone will cover half his wages. Same for JDS.

With all due respect, goalkeeping is about more than just shot stopping.
If you blast a ball at a wheelie bin it will bounce back.

They need a talking to from oggy, the only way Collins is getting a broken nose is if someone runs on the pitch and pings him

Good point, but there is still more to goalkeeping than shot stopping.

Collins is scared of another players shadow. The QPR keeper who is 22:made good saves and got battered by Simms got up and played on.
Oh yes and that first goal from how far out, he didn't even move his feet and it wasn't even in the top corner?
Fans have bought into this guy Collins as an upgrade on Wilson, made excuses for him all season and he is garbage.

Some of Collins' recent mistakes are just appalling.

Wilson got a lot of stick earlier in the season for his mistakes, but Collins' have been way worse.

If we could get a taker for him I'd move him on and keep Wilson as number 2 as he'll be on cheaper wages and is probably a better keeper tbh based on last season. Collins looks like he just can't be arsed.

Johansson seems the obvious one for me.

Wilson is 5 times the keeper Collins is and Robins dropped two massive bollocks this season:
1. Not starting Bidwell over DaSilva every match from day 1
2. Not sticking with Wilson over gutless Collins
Collins is a joke of a keeper, spineless, weak and a coward who literally backs out of challenges. Never seen a more cowardly soft goalkeeper. If need be rip the fuckers contract up and take him and that useless midget DaSilva with him. They are the two main reasons why we are not in the play offs, between them they must have cost us over 15 points!
