    party at Southampton

I don't know why, but the Genoa Ultras' idea really appealed to me: http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/blog/2012/apr/23/genoa-ultras-match-suspension-serie-a Except we'd do it to the board members! :D

    Club Statement

So, they're trying to get the horse back to the stables long after it bolted, eh? :jerkit:

Do not buy or renew season ticket

I've decided not to renew: if I'm being totally honest, I was considering not renewing for this season because I automatically assumed we were gonna lose King, Gunnar, etc. I was, however, given a good deal (student membership/season ticket fee reduced by £100 as a result)... The thing is, I've...

    7th April 2012 onwards....

Exactly. You make your own luck. Then again, we've had plenty of things like that happen during the season: insipid performances, leads thrown away and points thrown away in the dying minutes of injury time, missed penalties... it's just that after 7th April, we would be punished for it, period.

So Keys/Hoff .... Time to be honest...

That's probably exactly what SISU are hoping for, distraction! I must admit I'm not particularly feeling welcoming of Mr. Hoffman: I've got a subscription to Private Eye, which deals with political, financial and media scandals and really exposes certain figures in public life for the idiots...

    Joy Seppala: Did You Know?

It's scary to think that Jon Huntsman Jr. is in fact one of the SANER Republican candidates for the Presidency... but this kinda takes the shine off him for me :)

What if.......he sacks AT then takes charge

Surely, however, there are FA laws in place preventing people without proper coaching/management qualifications from taking charge of a professional club for long? I think Alan Shearer's time as Newcastle boss was partly limited because he had to gain further qualifications... I'm pretty sure...

    Gary Deegan

I actually sat near to Gary in the away end at the Blues game, but didn't find out any more info, sadly. I can only assume he's still with the club, though, and should be coming back soon.

Touch of City humour from a comedian

http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b00gknj6/Nebulous_Series_1_The_Loverly_Invasion/ Listen from about the 0.55 mark to 3.30, and note who the comedian wants to sing the song he wants played at his funeral... :)

    Clingan out of NI Game

I guess it could be a blessing in disguise for Cov, just hope it's nothing really serious! With that said, Sammy does seem to always have something go wrong when he's selected in a Northern Ireland squad...

    If Only !

To be fair, they bagged most of those on free transfers and of them: Andy Reid is injury-prone and his best form comes in patches. Boateng is 35 years old. Derbyshire's only just returned to English football and needs time to settle in... I think his point is is that after a.) the spending...

    Daily Mail article on CCFC

That may not necessarily be the case. There is entirely the possibility that in this time of cuts to public services due to the deficit reduction programme, some Coventry residents could have a fit if they thought a great deal of money was being "wasted" on a mere stadium, which serves little...

    Possible Loan Players

One of the biggest reasons we dipped so badly last season was the lack of sufficient cover for our squad, especially in central midfield where we went from having 6 players in that position to effectively a single guy (Gunnar), due to players being injured and moved on. The reason touted for...

    Billys

We had Danny Ward for a little while, but he got injured, and sent back to Bolton. He didn't last long... The guy's just being incredibly unrealistic, it's really not worth wasting too much time getting angry over...I'm sure SISU aren't :p

    Dann

For Scott Dann, that's a clucking good move!! Sorry.

Be positive... let the rest look after itself

To be fair, regardless of the paper strengths and weaknesses of each side, there is also the element of real life unpredictability- e.g. Peterborough vs. Ipswich last weekend. Now, out of the 23 other sides we'll be playing this season, the one team I would have truly, honestly expected us to...

    could be worse

I was under the impression that they still have some debt, mostly from the building of the Emirates Stadium, though my memory might be playing tricks on me... But your other points are fair enough- I honestly think Manchester United would win by a small rugby score if they were to play us...

    "We are woeful"

What I meant was that some managers are appointed as boss of a club, straight after their retirement or whenever they've got the badges they require, e.g. Paul Ince, but there's been this trend where people have been working within a club as a coach, scout, etc before they're considered for the...

    could be worse

Add to that a refusal to invest, and the sense that the manager is being hung out to dry by the club's owners, and suddenly Arsenal and Coventry aren't that far apart... With that said, I'd 8-2 be an Arsenal fan right now!

    "We are woeful"

Also, there are other managers in the Championship who didn't come exclusively from a playing background- Brian McDermott at Reading, e.g. he was a coach of some sort; Brendan Rodgers at Swansea was coaching Chelsea's youngsters at one point, yet we don't hear either Reading or Swansea getting...
