    Bedwetters here only !

I get the urge to take the piss out of people who are relentlessly negative, but finding ourselves in this situation a week into the season does fill me with dread. You cannot pretend selling the two players involved in 75% of our goals last season is anything other than a massive risk. While...

    Back Three

I feel we would get horribly narrow with a back 4. The squad is built around wing backs at the moment (though we only really have Dabo who is a true first team wing back currently). O'Hare would be free from as much responsibility to get back guess, but that is a large facet of his game. We...

The Sky Blue Army at Barnsley !!

Just back to Leeds having stopped off for several beers in the the Old Number Seven after the game. Had some good chats with a load of very pleasant Barnsley fans. It was very enlightening that they are as fed up their situation as we are with ours. Haven't enjoyed an away day so much since...

    Barnsley

Is it the Barnsley ticket office for certain? The page I was looking at didn't appear to specify. I did for a minute think I would be spending New Years Day driving to Cov and back.

Ian Calvert's letter about a "meeting." Who does he think he is?

I think it is fair to say we can put Ian Calvert in the file marked "Egotistical Self-Publicists" alongside Jo Dhinsa.

Tim Fisher - "you'll be back after 3 matches"

The issue with "success" bringing crowds back is that within recent memory we were in the Premier League and so by definition any winning run, when measured against competing in the top flight for so many years, will not draw back the fair weather fans. And that would apply equally if the club...

    new ground

On the basis that the £1m bond doesn't become payable for 3 years, I would suspect it is a long way down Tim's "To Do" list. The Football League chairman essentially admitted that they have had absolutely no hint of a plan for return to Coventry from the club.

Transfer window closes on September 2nd September

Aren't all of our trialists, deliberately I assume, are free agents? So the transfer window is irrelevant. It's not like we would be paying a fee for anyone!

    NTFC fan view

I am sure that Cardoza thinks that he has been very clever and the the deal all sown up with no risk at all to NTFC. He is wrong. SISU are exceptionally adept at confusing and intricate company structures. You will think you are doing business with one entity when actually what lies behind...

    Confirmed northampton

I still get fecking flashbacks to standing in the pissing rain watching us get beaten in the Cup by Northampton. For that reason alone there is no way I could consider going.

    First game of the season

I would travel from Leeds to either the Ricoh or Northampton to protest. I suspect it might actually be a more entertaining way of spending 90 minutes if last years home form is anything to go by.

Are the fans partially to blame??

How many reasons would you like? The lack of success on the pitch, the fact that Coventry as a city is struggling with the decimation of the manufacturing industry, the move from Highfield Road, the ongoing soap opera of our owners and that of the stadium STILL being in a pissing contest after...

    To raise spirits.....

Agree, Donny away. The worship of McGoldrick and the abuse of Clingan meant I could barely talk until Monday. York in The JPT was good too, but that is probably just because it was like a home game for me!

Where were you in 1987 ?

I was level with the 18 yard line at the end Houchen scored at. Went down on one of the Executive Club coaches with my Dad. We only missed Man U away of the entire run even though I was only nine. I generally remember only bits of the day (Allen scoring, Houchen's header, Killer lifting the...

    CCFC Appoint Restructing Experts

SISU have no interest in CCFC owning the Ricoh. SISU have a lot of interest in SISU owning the Ricoh. Do you think that once they get their hands on it they will somehow just gift it to the club and set sail into the distance with a warm glow in their hearts that they have saved the mighty...

    For the first time

Between work and living in Leeds, I hadn't seen them for a while. What struck me was the confidence they played with right from the start. I am absolutley buzzing, I can't remember the last away game I was at where EVERYONE was singing as we left!

    Jpt highlights?

I was right in line with it and it was going well wide of the goal.

    Chris Hussey - LM Sensation?

Reckord looked very reluctant to get forward tonight. He was more comfortable defensively than Hussey.

    JPT Last 16 opponents?

    Bradford away please!

    Change of luck after all

Hussey was applauded by virtually everyone there tonight and his goal was really well taken. He wasn't on for long but looked more comfortable without the defensive duties. He did take an absolutely awful corner though!
