Shame it doesn't open until 10am as was going to give it a go, but usually get to early kick offs at 9. Good that they have responded to feedback so quickly.

    New Fan Village

Dhillons was very busy yesterday with very few away fans in there. There's room for it. A couple of people I was with left for the fans village and then came back. When you're getting 30K gates we need as many venues as possible. It's good that the fans village was busy and the extra revenue is...

Match Thread Coventry City - Blackburn Rovers Match Thread - Saturday 18th Oct

Did wonder if they'd have much seating but looks good and sure it will be popular. Do hope there are more beer outlets out of shot otherwise queues won't be pretty.

    Stadium update

It's perfectly ok to be delighted to see these changes but also question the execution, which all seems a bit rushed. It's not a big deal though, those seats are filled every week, it's more the symbolism.

Match Thread Coventry City - Blackburn Rovers Match Thread - Saturday 18th Oct

Tough game today. They're better than their current position and have had two good wins on the road. In previous seasons, after a few wins you almost felt we were due a loss and half expected it, but this team is built different so we have to be confident, but this is far from a formality...

    New Fan Village

Still go to dhillons every week and still busy despite the £3.60 offer. Agree about the main room being too noisy, but still like it down there. Getting served is no issue, even last season would hardly need to queue at all. Handy for 12.30 games opening so early. With 30K gates it'll be fine...

    Wrexham Away

Bit annoying. I will be ok at 1940, but my lad at 1870. Know loads who bought for Millwall just for the points, but I refuse to do it and suspect we now miss out, especially as supporters clubs get an allocation for anyone with 1700+. Take away a few hundred for corporate and families and don't...

    Sheffield Wednesday "on the pitch"

I know some people aren't too concerned, they may be right, but I will surprised if the game finishes. If Reading fans can force an abandonment, I'm sure Wednesday fans can. That seems to be their intention, and if they sit in the centre circle who is dragging them off? Ah well, will travel up...

Match Thread Sheffield Wednesday - Coventry City Match Thread - Saturday 4th Oct

Might have been mentioned already, but weather looks horrendous, 50mph winds, always a bit of a leveller. Can't imagine it being pretty.

Blues were awful yesterday, but being careful to judge them on one performance. Thinking back to Leeds away last season, the same things were being said about us. Annoyingly I still think they might be in the play off mix. They're likely to go level on points with us Tuesday, and their squad is...

Totally dominant. They didn't lay a glove on us. Sending off or not, we cruised through that.

Don't think this was ever going to be sold out at these prices, but tbf we've got closer than I thought we would. Ideally we price this to sell out and open up ticket resale for extra revenue. Weirdly, I know loads of season ticket holders not going today for various reasons.

Match Thread Coventry City - Norwich City Match Thread - Saturday 13th Sep

Weird how you get very winnable games like this where you're not confident at all. It's not even that they're a bogey team either, just something in the air. Win today would be huge, I think Norwich will do well this season.

What's the capacity for the exhibition hall, is it 7K?

    Stadium update

I don't believe the stadium gets any of the ticket money, it's usually a flat fee (but not always), I've read somewhere it is typically around 150K-200K for a 40,000 venue. I saw this on a post a while ago, so just going from memory and cannot say how accurate it is. They do tend to keep all f&b...

If Albion is a sell out, I will drill a hole in my left testicle and live stream it.

    Birmingham Tickets

They didn't though, (for Wrexham) they charged £30 for adults and £14 for kids, that's a far cry from. £45/£35. I have no issue with people defending pricing, but this idea we are simply in line with others is totally dishonest. For these top category games, especially for children, we are...

    Birmingham Tickets

They will, whether we do I'm not sure. Where this will really bite is Albion. They won't pay it, can see lowest crowd of the season for that. Won't be a bad thing, £82 for an adult and young child just isn't on. Leicester is relatively expensive and even there the equivalent is only £44.

    My take on the window

We had Wright, BTA and Simms last season, yet Bassette still made 25 appearances. Who is that 4th man this season, especially as two of the 3 we have are also cover for wide positions. Two of them get injured, we're in bother. One has a massive drop on form, you have to keep playing them...
