Match Thread Coventry City - Norwich City Match Thread - Saturday 13th Sep

Weird how you get very winnable games like this where you're not confident at all. It's not even that they're a bogey team either, just something in the air. Win today would be huge, I think Norwich will do well this season.

What's the capacity for the exhibition hall, is it 7K?

    Stadium update

I don't believe the stadium gets any of the ticket money, it's usually a flat fee (but not always), I've read somewhere it is typically around 150K-200K for a 40,000 venue. I saw this on a post a while ago, so just going from memory and cannot say how accurate it is. They do tend to keep all f&b...

If Albion is a sell out, I will drill a hole in my left testicle and live stream it.

They didn't though, (for Wrexham) they charged £30 for adults and £14 for kids, that's a far cry from. £45/£35. I have no issue with people defending pricing, but this idea we are simply in line with others is totally dishonest. For these top category games, especially for children, we are...

They will, whether we do I'm not sure. Where this will really bite is Albion. They won't pay it, can see lowest crowd of the season for that. Won't be a bad thing, £82 for an adult and young child just isn't on. Leicester is relatively expensive and even there the equivalent is only £44.

    My take on the window

We had Wright, BTA and Simms last season, yet Bassette still made 25 appearances. Who is that 4th man this season, especially as two of the 3 we have are also cover for wide positions. Two of them get injured, we're in bother. One has a massive drop on form, you have to keep playing them...

Transfer Rumour 25/26 Summer Transfer Window

Is all this leading to a big dramatic announcement of a signing we knew about 6 hours ago? Just announce it and call it done. We have what we have, just stop dragging this out.

    Solid start to the season

This. We like to play a high line, which is fine, but we have to manage games better. They went direct, playing long balls in behind our full backs, why didn't we just sit for a while, see off that threat and wrestle control back? Regardless, it has been a decent start, some really positive signs.

Dhillons purchase may have fallen through, I reckon we buy this now. Hotel has full planning permission, but don't know if/when it starts. On the old social club site, recent revised planning app went in, so that will be a drive through takeaway in the near future.

    Stadium update

Surely it is better to develop a brownfield site like this and not build over greenbelt? So much greenbelt is being swallowed up around Exhall and Kersley. Regardless, this land will probably end up a car park and some is earmarked for a VLR terminus (should that happen). Plus, if the...

    Stadium update

Well it is a fair point, you can walk to New Street, it does have better public transport links for sure. But, his general point misses the mark. Big summer stadium gigs aren't something we ought to relying on or be concerned about. It's the day to day conferences and exhibitions, the meeting...

    Stadium update

We've gone from a club that paid for very limited use of the facility day to day (retail store), and the main bowl for 6 hours about 26 times a year (surrendering much of the revenue were were generating during that time); to having all of it, with hotel, casino and hospitality operators paying...

Without wishing to create a blue dress controversy, it's anthracite grey, no? My eyes aren't exactly tip top though, so maybe it's me.

    Stadium update

Not really. And we don't 'run a casino', we own a commercial property that sub-lets part of that complex to a licensed 3rd party operator than runs one. It's a complete non issue.

    Stadium update

Speaking to someone recently who had some dealings with Doug at the arena. Said that DK would often get really annoyed by the state of the arena externally, even offered to pay for it to be cleaned. I think we'll see a lot of investment, which is needed. I don't particularly care what the...

    Stadium update

Give it a rest. You can't see the security this gives the club to be tied to an asset like that? Hasn't made money? So what, it's never really had the chance, it's been mired in controversy and conflicting interests since day one. That ends. And debt, 1st the mortgage then Wasps and their bond...

I guess so yeah, but if he does then good for him. What he has done here cannot be underestimated. Genuinely emotional over this, never thought we'd get to this point.

    Matchday Ticket Prices

Understand your point completely, and we do have to maximise the revenue, I was just pointing out that at that level it has the potential to reduce revenue because you don't sell the seats you would otherwise sell and alsi can't open up things like the ST resale which worked well last season...

    Matchday Ticket Prices

Setting prices at a level that people are unwilling or unable to.pay makes no sense. Blues might sell theirs and people will say it's justified, but I don't think we sell out for that game, and Albion I'm willing to bet will be the lowest crowd of the season up until that point. As mentioned by...
