My favourite footballer of all time. I remember being a kid and in the school holidays playing at The Connexion, him and other players (Killer et. al.) watching us play. When players had time for fans. Top player, top man, legend.

This just proves your lack of football knowledge. Ratings are relative, hence based on the level you play. From your comment a Sunday morning footballer will only ever score 1/10.

Burge was slatted at every opportunity last season, even when he had a good game. No goalkeeper in League 1 would have held that shot, therefore a defender should be expecting a rebound. Burge did his job there. Maybe he could have got up quicker however, we don’t know how fit he is.

Both overrated and Murphy only played for struggling teams. Neither could catch a cold.

I hated Murphy with a passion. So overrated!

All I ever see Murphy do is constantly parry and shout at young defenders, destroying their confidence.

I’ve been supporting City since 87 and the only keeper who has been better for a sustained period of time is, Ogrizovic. Kirkland was better but didn’t play enough games to rival Westwood.

Fair enough. The angle from the highlights didn’t show that though.

Just watched the highlights and here are my observations: 1. A good Sunday morning keeper would have saved the shot in the first half. 2. He didn’t need to come for the first as there was two defenders to deal with the cross. 3. The free kick he pushed over should have been a routine catch. 4...

He has really stepped up, commanding his area and his kicking has improved too. I don’t think a keeper is now a priority. Obviously some will disagree.

You are obviously someone who has never played football at any level and at school, got stick for being so bad. For this reason, you decide to attack people deemed good enough to earn their living playing football.

You’ve got a high opinion of yourself.....

Maybe you should offer your services if you’re that good.
