Checkatrade Trophy in perspective. (1 Viewer)

I do not think Wycombe fans were really bothered about a Wembly visit. With the current form of both teams they must have considered themselves in with more than a good chance of winning last Tuesday, yet only brought approx 800 supporters with them.I would imagine had we been travelling to Wycombe for the Semi-Final our support would have been in the thousands.

Just saying like.

Think it was reported around the 400 mark . which is very low for a semi final . I agree 1000's would've went to A/P if it were played there.

I think it is simply down to how desperately starved of any shred of success City fans have been over the last 30 years. So even a meaningless trophy like the Checkatrade is seen as a straw to clutch at. The classic example was the 30000+ that saw the Crewe match. If we had, say, been to a couple of playoffs over the years it may have been put into a truer perspective.
