so spurs and man city both joining next season
chelsea already in it

wont be surprised to see at least one of these make the final

as soon as that happens, the competition will be dead

Even more so if they do what Stoke did and draft first teamers in for a bit of match fitness.

What premier league u23's though?

It's a competition that we seem to do well in, so it'll be good to see us up against some of these youth teams.

Isn't it the Caribou cup or something like that now?

They're a disgrace. There should be a limit to sizes of all age groups.
Couldn't agree more. Would love to be in charge of FA reform. Squad limits which loan outs still count towards, 80% English players and a restructure of the compensation fees which are so far behind the money at the top of the game now it's unreal.

So have they extended the size of the tournament again? Is there about 300 groups this time?

1 group with 300 teams and us with a bye to the final as the current holders. Final to be played in 2029 when the group stage is over. Players U23 in 2017 to still be eligible to play at the age of 35 in the final.

Are you sure Carling wasn't one. I'm sure there used to be a carling cup, what was that?
Ok so there are conflicting views on wiki. It isn't on the list of past sponsors but later on says they were a sponsor between 2009 - 2012 so yes. Still 3 more to get
