I hate biographies but the only one I have liked was his -- The Lord of Misrule.
It told one story of when he did loads of B movie Vampire films in Italy. After one filming in full regalia his car broke down. He knocked on the door of some rural farmhouse and they literally screamed when they answered.
Its a well written book
