Random one but just interested in what everyone used in the past in respect to computers and gaming etc. For me it was:

1) Acorn Electron (x2 one broke)
2) Spectrum ZX
3) Amiga 500
4) Amiga 1200 (then with CD ROM!)
5) Playstation
6) PS2
7) Xbox360
8) PS4

I had a few PC's during the time but they were more for uni work etc

Since about 1994, I've had:
Amiga 500
Amiga 1200
My first tower computer was one from Tandy's. It was absolute SHIT!
I remember having to insert about 7 or 8 x 3½" floppy discs one after the other, just to run Windows 3.1 :claping hands:
Loads of other PC's and laptops since. Never had a Playstation, Gameboy, X-box or that sort of thing. Just never been interested in them. I refuse to fork out hundreds of pounds just to play games.

No Amstrads guys? I spent hours on that thing with a massive book, typing in co-ordinates to get it to draw a shape on the screen.

How about Dizzy the egg that was almost impossible to complete hahaha!

Happy days.

EDIT: Just seen torcho's post with the amstrad. great stuff!

How about a Phillips CDI anyone have one of those badboys? ;-)

Commodore "Vic 20"
Sega Master System II*
Sega Saturn
Various PCs ever since

I kept the Sega master for many years after I stopped using it and eventually threw it out only to discover very recently there is a hack which would have enabled RGB output from it.

Sensi soccer was awesome, used to spend days on end on that game! Cannon fodder was another awesome game from the same developer.

Forgot about the Sega Saturn!

Used to love the team called "Cheap Thrills" on Sensible Soccer, Wayne Kerr was the manager.

Talking of nostalgia through consoles etc, who remembers what games they used to play in the early days? I used to love Manic Miner, Zool and the brilliant Pong tennis game!

See below.......

On the thing I had I loved how they took Pong and added a second stick on each side and called it football. To think that now I'll scoff that squad numbers aren't properly texture mapped...

First game I remember obsessing over was Speedball 2. Even looking back, justifiably so

I had in this order... I think

Spectrum 48K
Master System
Megadrive 1 & 2
Amiga 500
SNES
Nintendo 64
Sega Mega CD
Sega Saturn
PS1
Dreamcast
PS2

After that I converted to Xbox with the 360 and then onto the one.

I did however manage to pick up a Phillips Videopac G7000 at a car boot about 4 years ago. Apparently came out in the 70's (before my time). Managed to get it to work briefly on a very old TV before it died a death.

Anyone else ever see one?

Strangely never owned consoles from the generation including SNES/Mega Drive, but played on them elsewhere, as I had a huge library of Master System and NES games.

I saw one in various mail order catalogues. I believe it was the first user programmable console. It came with a matching board game similar to Dungeons & Dragons, a novel idea which never caught on. Hardly any of the board games survive.
