Couple this with the FFP rules and the new premiership driven rules on young player transfers and I can see a lot of clubs really struggling.

Everything points towards the rich getting richer and sod the rest. Yes the books should be balanced but everything it seems will be focussed on the small clubs while the rich boys find a way round it. We dont all support Man U or Chelsea or Man City ..... its going to make it hard for the small clubs to survive.

Never really understood the initial regulations being introduced ,was'nt it too protect minnows from predators coming along at any point in the season and disrupting their season.in any other business there are no restrictions on when, how, or where you make your aquisitions,creating artificial ones only seem to create hype ,pressure and inflation in deals.Would be interesting to know if similar constraints exist within other team sports.
