On Friday 24th March 2017, 20 young and talented footballers took part in our FA England Disability Talent Identification trials at the Moat House Leisure Centre. The event was a great occasion with many visually impaired and deaf footballers attending with the desire and ambition to represent one of England’s Disability National teams.

Sky Blues in the Community UEFA B coaches Anthony Charles and Paul Rose were on hand to put the players through their paces with a number of well put together drills and small sided games centred around the FA’s four corner player development mode – England DNA.

The FA’s Disability Talent Identification Officer (Will Perkins) was present to cast his experienced scouting eye over the players. He was particularly impressed with the talent on display by selecting a total of 10 players to progress into our 6-week talent identification development programme.

For the 10 players who impressed, they will be advancing through The FA’s Disability Football Performance. The first stage of which is a 6-week talent identification development programme led by SBitC coaches, taking place at the Moat House Leisure Centre. More details soon.
