Talking to someone at the forum last night and he seemed to know a bit of back ground to Hoffman's investors and said a couple were foriegn and others were football based, didn't go into it but who or what is football based ? Been aired before that Richard Keys has introduced people to the club. So lets speculate, obviously one could be Uncle Ray but there are many mega rich ex-footballers about nowadays. Graeme Souness for example has been linked a number of times with various clubs and Alan Hansen was linked with us once and one of the richest in the world of American football is our own Cobi Jones, interesting times !!

There was talk of Freddy Shepherd ex of Newcastle but to be honest we are not going to find out necessarily even if a deal is done with them. For all we know the equity funds managed by SISU could be full of money from "football men" and I am guessing that GH's backers will set up in a similar way.

But it only gets interesting if there is a deal done or someone actually invests. Cant get excited about all the speculation and rumour going on
