That's one of the few thing you could have said that would make things worse! Has anyone got any jokes? I think we need more gallows humour.
I'm bad at jokes but I'll give it a go:
Q. Why did the chicken cross the road?
A. We don't know that the chicken crossed the road. The chicken says it has, but the pavement says the golden egg is what matters and that is on the pavement. We are waiting to hear what the road says.
