Bloody hell are there not more pressing things to do with CCFC than events that happened over 10 years ago?!
Apparently it has become vital to establish exactly what Arena 2001 Ltd spent money on for some reason.
tend to go for salt and vinegar to be fair - more old school :)
But who paid for them and where do they show on the accounts ;)

well they were sourced via agents with contacts in the far east who had them couriered the raw ingredients to the UK in a diplomatic bag, where the salt & vinegar crisps were created in a secret location not far from here, payment was arranged through a complicated off shore arrangement after the local banks refused to provide a variable low interest line of credit. Once the funds had been exchanged from dollars to euros to GB £ the loan was drawn down on the basis of crisps consumed and the loan itself secured by a hedge of funds based in the Cayman Isles due to the high risk of the assets disappearing.

Bloody hell are there not more pressing things to do with CCFC than events that happened over 10 years ago?! Not to mention it is dead and buried because none of CCFC Ltd, CCFC H Ltd and Arena 2001 Ltd exist any more and have been struck off so will not be investigated

AEHC owned the shares it was not held as a security. The shares are disclosed as assets on the Charity accounts. They purchased the shares for 6.5m in total which was split settlement of an existing loan 2.5m, and 4m in cash. that cash was used by CCFC to repay Robinson etc £2m to cancel existing loans and Robinson etc then lent the company a new £2m loan.

CCFC invested an initial net 4.8m which was made up of moneys spent on the project £18m less £13.2m debts for the work done they could not pay. Subsequently to that they invested another £2m (the first GR etc loans) taking the total to £6.8m. The additional £2m is what appears on the council report. However CCFC then sold their shares in ACL to AEHC for £6.5m meaning the actual final net investment in the stadium project was £300k and even that could be argued only to have been unpaid interest on the debts and loans and not really construction costs.

one of the biggest mysteries has to be what in hells name were the board of CCFC doing spending £18m on land that they did not own!

Wont comment more than that because it has no bearing on the solution to the state CCFC are currently in

That clears up my question of what happened to the £6.8m anyway. Thanks OSB.

You will get shot by some on this forum with comments like that...how dare you suggest we are not a BIG club!

...onwards & upwards PUSB

Nah, he won't everyone is saying we need at least 25k.
We would have a 25k stadium rocking in the Prem.

It's the 10-15k stadium that "most" bar the "odd" few are concerned about

Agree with this. Far more important on a thread about BPA. That we discuss capacity.
That if it is 10-15k that planning permission is also agreed at that time for the 25k extension.
Not that "it can be done some time in the future"
Why are the club not applying for this planning permission. Sobthst they can get the fans in their side for once.
If there is a political embargo it will all come out at the planning permission stage.

They are not applying for planning permission as they will not build a new ground at the BPA.

That's the question that should be asked. At the the SCG or even better the trust take up Mr Fishers offer to meet. Ask why planning permission for up to 25k cannot be requested as a show of faith to the fans that the club is genuine that it wants to build at the BPA.

As an aside, big fan of the Tesco finest Creamy Brie and Cranberry they're selling for £1 a packet atm.
Ooh, never tried them, or indeed heard of them. They sound nice.

Might take a punt. Take my pound out of the Save Coventry City fund and take the plunge on a bag of these.

The construction cost of the Millennium stadium was £121m. The construction cost of the Ricoh was £65,822,000. This included £7m to be fitted out and also other things like work to the railway.

Does the Millennium have a built in hotel, casino and exhibition hall?

It has several bars conference suites and also the very small matter of a huge retractable roof

When did you last go to a game?

It also has the shitest, uneven playing surface too. Top quality turf but pallettised takes weeks for it to knit back together after it's been taken up for any big event..ie- motocross, Concert, etc.

So it doesn't have a hotel, exhibition hall or casino?

When did you last travel to an away game? And Northampton doesn't count :bucktooth:

Serous question. Why do you have to keep bringing up games people go to? Not as though you are an ever present yourself is it.

What has Jon Sharp got to do with this? Are we giving him tips on how not finance a stadium, should the Butts ever come to pass? It mentions Jon Sharp and BPA at the top of the thread... Now we are on to attending games at the Ricoh....

No, but it does have a sliding roof and a capacity of over twice that of the Ricoh Arena. The construction costs presumably also include the cost of demolishing Cardiff Arms Park and other neighbouring buildings.

The costs attributed to the building of the Ricoh do seem high, but I suspect the subterranean element cost a fortune (to no benefit of the club or the council really).

Well just as grey is the new black, the Butts is the new Ricoh don't you know.

It's the latest fashion. Climb aboard before it disappears in a cloud of smoke up its own arsehole.

I don't know who you are asking. But I do know that you are not answering questions back as normal
