I'm going to watch the Revenant on dvd tomorrow, but my son says it's long and a bit slow at 3 hours. But a bloke in the pub said it's got lots of action in it,so I'll make my own judgement on it and hope it's good ?

100% worth a watch! Great film!!!

And as Malaka says the scene with Walken and Hopper is outstanding and made even better by the fact that it was done in one shoot and a lot of it is ad-libbed!!

I did the Sopranos tour when I was in New York (a must if you are ever there on a Saturday!!) and there are loads of Goodfella references in the Sopranos and loads of links.

Carlito's Way is another cracker from that genre, as is a Bronx Tale..............and of course Scarface!!

Ahh ye I remember Chris being in it actually, will rewatch it and look out for the others.

I rewatched the Sopranos not that long ago and sadly it seemed quite dated now :( Does anyone still rate it better than Breaking Bad?

Definately if only to watch Christopher Walken and Dennis Hopper scene. It also has James Gandolfini in it. That scene is brilliant, the best scene ever in any gangster movie IMO

Agreed about the film and that scene.

Make sure you book in advance as it is only on a Saturday and it can get fully booked!

We got our picture taken with Vito before even getting on the coach (ripped us off for a signed photo but to be expected :D) and the guy doing the tour was actually an extra in the series so you got some real insight. They take you around loads of locations and then when you get back on the coach they play the scenes so you can visualise it but the highlights were definitely going into and having a beer in the Bada Bing, which is a real life strip club complete with real strippers, and then also going into the restaurant of the final ever scene where they are eating onion rings (which you get a free portion) and get to sit right in the booth where Tony was sat before he was/wasn't killed.

Seriously can't recommend it enough!

Two scenes in Good Fellas stick out in my memory.

First one is where he confronts the guy who messed with his girlfriend and busts his skull with the but of a handgun.

The second is where he and his girlfriend get out of his car and go into a swanky restaurant through the back door and right to the front of the restaurant. The scene lasts a long time as they go through corridors and various doors. It is shot all in one go with no breaks. Amazing.

Very true, that scene is superb. Also, I can't normally stand Brad pitt, but he's got a brilliant cameo with gandalfini in it.
