He mentioned that he wanted The Ricoh to be like the o2 Arena London, So surely this means that the Railway line To The Ricoh must happen too.

I don't think he has thought it through as far as getting something practical like a railway station. I saw the press conference and all the interviews on the CT site and, to be frank, I think they are absolutely clueless. Ken Dunothing didn't even know how long the club had been under a transfer embargo.

Daz, (Second time iv tryed to reply to this btw it crashed first time)

Brodys ideas for the Ricoh are spot on IMO, his example of the O2 is very vaild and should not be under estermated. The problem with the ground at the moment is that it doesn't bring the local comunity and even the city of coventry to it unless something of interest is taking palce there! The fact is that If you use the example of the O2 were you have transport links, Entertainment, Resurants, Bars, Pubs, Shops etc you bring people in EVEN when nothing is taking place in the Arena its self. Thats the problem with the Ricoh at the moment and its soemthing he sees as potentially a majour player once CCFC have some kind of owner ship in the stadium.

Derby County are the only midlands club to have actually done this to a degree, i work right next to Pride Park and actually vist the stadium more times in a week than our own, mainly because of the food outlets around the ground and the Five a side football and gym facilitys located next to the ground. If this was added to the Ricoh for example it could have a majour impact on the local area as well as the whole of coventry as a whole. If you started adding Resurants bars pubs and more shops and add the train station and decent Bus connections, suddenly you have a massive complex which the city will want to go to, even when the skyblues are not playing! I can see know the Blax rebuilding an arena near it as well as well as Cinemas and Bowling alleys and even more Hotels!

At the moment its only a vision of what it could be, and if this visions turns in to reality then suddenly Coventry has something to be proud of as a city, rather than something people are currently complaing about!

That is how i see it and people will agree to disagree but i think just maybe we might have a direction which could dig us out of the finacial mess!

Of course it would be good to have a great complex like that and would be good to make money!

Brody said there are different rypes of investors, one for the ricoh and one for the team!

Does this not mean that the money from the ground wont go on the team?

They are interested in the ground, not the team!?

Take a look at the skydome complex, it is in the town centre and half of it is shut!

Who is going to go to the ricoh for their lunch? people from the industrial estate or pro logis?

Aslong as these 'O2 type events' don't damage our pitch like we've all seen with Wembley other wise any other revenue would be great if we had the ground.

So essentially a powerleague venue, a Harvester, maybe an old scool supporters club could be an idea

Just to point out that I have been to the 02 several times with work and everything is virtually empty when there is not an event on at the arena.

Its heaving when somethin is on, but the resturants / bars etc are no busier than the ricoh casino on a non match day when nothing is on at the arena.

A frankie & Bennys and Weatherspoons will not make the ricoh area a "must visit", they will just be handy on match days.
