Not many British sportspeople above him. A knighthood is on it's way surely?

Hope it's given ( a Knighthood) once he retires though.

Just hope he can break his Aussie open hoodo, 5 final defeats is gut wrenching!

Maybe sneak a French open in there and complete the set!?

Be amazing if he could complete the grand slam.....

....it speaks volumes that truly great players such as Becker, Borg & McEnroe & Lendl never achieved it, yet all 3 of Murrays rivals over the last decade have....

He's achieved what he has during the toughest era of mens tennis.

Fair play to him, I've never been that big a fan but he's put the graft in and it's paid off. Seems like it's Lendl's coaching that's really helped him step up.

I must admit a few years ago, I didn't think he had it in him to rise to the top but he has done fantastically. To beat Novak in such a vital time will hopefully put that hoodoo away for good

That was my thoughts too. Even this season Djok has had injury that aided Murray's rise...but fair play to Murray. I even suspected everything was in place for him to race into an early lead & then tire massively & be blown away.
Respect to him.

...onwards & upwards PUSB
