Square Enix has confirmed plans to release Final Fantasy: The 4 Heroes Of Light on Nintendo DS this autumn.
According to the publisher, the game will be a "brand new" adventure in the Final Fantasy series featuring "beautiful picture book visuals and an easy-to-control battle system".
The story will return to Final Fantasy's origins as four young heroes embark on an "unforgettable adventure" featuring dragons, kings, princesses and witches.
The game, which supports up to four players, will have a turn-based battle system utilising the touchscreen and stylus on the DS.
A brand new job change system will also allow players to easily switch their character's class by changing the hat that they are wearing. There are over 20 jobs available in the game, such as Black Mage, White Mage and Ranger.
