Sounds like a shit 70s cop comedy/drama.
Tell that to the lads outside the coach and horses in Longford, many had their heads kicked in by Zulus.
ha, it does indeed, but it was a brilliantly acted movie in the 60's Zulu
Which was a true story.
I must have seen that film over Christmas about 50 times but never actually watched it. Every year without fail my uncle would come back from the burnt post and stick it on.
Aye, sounds similar to my experience of the film until about 5 years ago, when I actually watched the whole thing, the rousing welsh choir scene got me pretty pumped, so can sort of imagine if they did sing, it would be a good motivational tactic. Not that I'm a Taffy or owt.
If you ask any Zulu's now whether they have any issues with Cov then the answer will most likely be no. I know a couple of them very well.
Yes I do . he eventually turned round and applauded us .oh how we laughed .
Does that include a certain 1 eyed beast?
I believe he got set upon recently while abroad by a group of lads, I always thought he was a bouncer in Cov and lived here too?
yeah he is but a brum fan and brummie
Yeah think your right didn't he say in his book he stuck his vs up or something and got a fine , said it was money well spent. Still remember it now west terrace. Ian shite shite shite
Remember the game that wrighty got fined for saying all Cov fans were wankers.
The chant Ian shites shite shite could be heard from some parts of the ground.
Arsenal get a penalty Wright steps up takes his shot and misses the whole ground now erupts with the chant.........
Was Steven Pressley the judge ?
Watched an old episode of Lovejoy last night in which Lovejoy asked a friend (Tommy Norris) to make an authentic Stradivarius violin appear to be a fake.
Tommy Norris played by Michael Angelis who is a scouser makes the comment "It would be like making the 1977 Liverpool team into Coventry City"
Who`s your uncle Hill?
John. He passed away a few years back.
Oh sorry mate thought i might know him.
I wonder why this is?
George Best was there but didn't play, he took the kick off, and then they started the game properly.
Was wearing a bright blue jacket if I remember rightly.
I only remember Gazza and Les Ferdinand, did Ally McCoist play too? The original goldenballs vs the young pretender and Cantona's last game, what a time in our lives.
Did you think it was a fix when Bussty scored a penalty?
I wanted to believe it was legit, but when Schmeichel dived miles to one side while Busst was only just starting his runup it was like finding out it's your parents who buy the Christmas presents.
David Speedie also played for us that day as well as Steve Ogrizovic coming off the bench as a striker for the last 10 minutes
Long story regarding Sunderland AFC accusing CCFC of fixing the results - they have long memories and they need to get over it - they were about as popular outside Sunderland as we were ! - what these big clubs don't realise is that unless there are teams like us to beat in a league they don't get the points
Hadn't schmeichel gone off then, with van der gouw in goal for the pen?
McCoist didn't turn up, but yeah speedier and oggy played.
You're right. The penalty is actually struck a lot better than the slow dribbling effort my memory's distorted it to as well.
Couldn't remember any of the other goals at all apart from the scorers
From what I see in the social and internet domain, you'd think the people who hate CCFC the most are CCFC fans.
look at his location. I think he might be familiar with what went on!
Did we get accused of stitching up Bristle as well ?
No ! we were both in that one together .
Because they didn't like the fact that two sets of supporters could be so happy
The NOPM lot that were first in line for Wembley tickets.
