If you are a fan for life I take it you would have been at Highfield Road in the 80's, when only 7499 turned up to watch us in a Division One (top league) game against Watford. There was no SISU or NOPM then. We get better attendances now.

The point I am making is, people will not go to games for a variety of reasons, and this changes through the years. I would say as many don't go now because of SISU as, as many didn't go then for other reasons. Some people will always find an excuse, whilst others will have understandable ones not linked to SISU or anyone else.

Problems in the past Moff can't be classed as relevant to today's issues. People don't go because they don't get value and see the owners as the issue. They are the reason we are at this point, they are the ones that need to be transparent with the fans who's hard spent money is supporting their business. Why carry on investing your support or money if you think your being short changed. Its starting to get bitter for fans now because the owners treat people with disdain and the fan base is being eroded because of this. Personally I think if the lies and cloak and dagger crap continues crowds of 5k will be a reality in spite of any results on the pitch.

So if we made the play offs only 5,000 will turn up?

    Can't see it myself.

didn't he say "people don't go because they don't see value" ?. Why would only 5k go to league games, let alone play offs if we are top 6.

I have also experienced the same took my lad who is now 21 to his first game in years last saturday:( my daughter is 26 and was also a regular also never goes.
My son and his 2 mates were season ticket holders for 6 years none of them bother much now.
1 hasn't been in over 5 years my son goes maybe twice a year:(..........
Can't blame him really at £25.00 it is a bit much for a student to pay,
ok I pay it but still can't blame him:(

Careful you will be accused of being a WUM or an attention seeker on here with views like that.
But got to admit maybe our last season also.
It is all getting very tiring now and don't want to do it anymore.

Why the f&@k would any CCFC fan want to see us relegated?

That just defies all logic of being a fan of a team.

    Extremely strange...

I think there are a few who just can not enjoy any success under the current owners

Not sure I understand that but I do understand it more than wanting our club relegated. That's just mental.

I imagine he doesn't really want a relegation but sees that as the next possible step for SISU to lose interest. I can see his point. But I doubt they'll move on still.

There may be fans who hate SISU or say they are ok - but deep deep down if we could all vote them in or out, there would be a huge vote for them to leave.

Even if a replacement owner was less wealthy.

Success ....depends on whether you are the owners or fans? Currently, the owners ensure we continue to exist and that means a neutral budget. The level of football the club plays is irrelevant...if we are promoted, we must still run a neutral budget and vice versa. So, Division 2 or Non-League would mean the same. Success for the owners = continued operation without undue risk. Success for fans = Winning and promotion. Currently, the owners are operating a successful business, in their eyes.

    It's not successful is it - it's neutral - that's not successful.

I don't believe there's any evidence of it even being neutral, either in cash terms or in terms of the profit and loss account (even excluding the interest).
