Sunderland - lack of investment arguements (1 Viewer)

Clearly Sunderland have by anyones standards invested in the playing squad, ok they lost Bent & Gyan but overall they spent significantly

They have taken 21 points out of the last 81. They have won 3 home games this calendar year.

CCFC have taken 27 points out of 87 under AT won just 5 games out of 29. Little investment

Clearly it takes more than money to bring success. A key part in that is the right players/quality (comes back to money i suppose) but also a manager making the right decisions for the players he has available. Seems that is a tough job with or without the cash

The point I am making in this arbitrary comparison is that whilst money has the greatest influence on a club, it aint just all about the money.

no it isnt but its abvout what you bring in, i think Bruce just started buying players left right and centre and not thinking about whether they fit the mold. did not buy wisely in my opinion.
