Still never been to a gig and no plans to go to one.
Well this gig was cancelled but was re-scheduled for last night. They were awesome!
Cribs at the Colly next Friday...
Magnum in sunny Leamington last Monday. Grand slam in sunny Bilston this Monday.
Given Phil Lynott died way back when and Grand Slam never released an album, dunno what this is all about... but intend to find out!
I find that incredible mate.
Just Godiva this year.
Usually quite excited (last year Buzzcocks and Fun Lovin Criminals), but this year, Boomtown Rats, Scouting for Girls and Charlatans.
Not too fussed about the Boomtown Rats ( a few great sings, but mostly meh) and I know nothing about Scouting for Girls at all.
Did once go to a radio one roadshow at the memorial park does that count
Went to see Peter Hook and the light a couple of months back. They were pretty good and did 2 New Order albums straight through. Got tickets to see Sleaford Mods and I'm really looking forward to seeing the Charlatans at Godiva this year.
I love Sleaford Mods, seen them live a few times.
Did they tell you when to clap and cheer ?

I can't remember it was probably 25 years ago and got pissed and fell asleep on the grass
If you got pissed and fell asleep on the grass it counts

Saw Manic Street Preachers at the Genting Arena a few weeks ago and really enjoyed it. Supported by the Editors too. Got the ticket for free off my old man who couldn't go unfortunately so took the missus and had a very enjoyable night. I don't know what they were like back in the day but they certainly put on a strong show.
Definitely get the meeting your heroes concept, but they were almost apologetic thought saying they hoped they didn't ruin people's past experiences of their music. They didn't need to do that though, as I thought considering their age they were top notch.
saw manics in warwick uni students union bar as they dropped their fist punk album, was about 200 people in there. quite proud to have been there at the early stages of any big band , hate the commercial stlye they switched to afterwards tho
i saw jay z as 1st(of 2) support artists once, out on stage at 7.30 in quarter full venue, who knew he'd become the best at what he does
I could cope with that... if they hadn't spent so much time railing against the commercial bands in their early days!
exactly, i loved what they were, almost another sex pistols, but then turned into coldplay
They died the moment they started introducing an orchestra into their songs.

Used to go so much in my younger day. Remember going to see King, ok not exactly BIG, in Kenilworth and it was fantastic. About 50 people came and they even did punk covers. PS I saw Sex Pistols in Brixton, Green Days in Tokyo and Foo Fighters in Seoul. But King was best
saw kasabian at the king power the other day, seriously good night! and also seen catfish and the bottlemen, noel gallagher, the libertines all this year
Ive got milburn lined up for september in manchester and also seeing them at godiva along with the pigeon detectives which will be brilliant!
Going T in the park in july, and also just got tickets for catfish again in the jag hall at the ricoh
I wanna go to Download!!!!!!
bloke at work went the rock am ring thingy in germany that got canceled and he's also off to download haha
Anyone going the enemy's last tour?
Sweden ROck's the one I want to do one year.
went to see jake bugg last night, was fantastic
i saw libertines a couple months back, pure rock n roll, drunk, staggering, playing music when they shouldnt, missing out songs, that kinda thing, a total mess but brilliant
jake bugg was just so methodical, he drank half a pint in the whole time he was on stage, he started promtley at 9, and played all the hits etc with minimum gaps between songs, like perfection
hes in his early 20's but is as rock n roll as a sausage roll, if you get my meaning
live a little dude
I've saw the Libertines a couple of times and they've been brilliant.
I've also seen Babyshambles and Pete Docherty solo and on a couple of occasions it's been an absolute car crash.
Saw Carl Barats band, Dirty pretty things? And they were just boring.
I've seem Pete 7 times in all, in all his guises he's a fucking genius and highly entertaining.
Quoting my Mrs here, but she said ' what's the point in Carl barat lol
Gonna see The saw doctors in December, Coldplay in July
Also the wife wants to see take that for her birthday
I can highly recommend the saw doctors though they are a great band
Yeah didn't win roughly the same time they got their first number one?
If this is rock and roll, I want my old job back! - brilliant album
Think he left after the next album
Did Jake Bugg again last night. Was brilliant. Not many around like him. Doing Bastille in a couple of weeks too.
Scored tickets for Iron Maiden at the last ever Black Sabbath gig, cant wait
Hoping to see Super Furry Animals in December. They're playing the whole of Fuzzy Logic and Radiator so sounds a great night.
I saw them just as Hometown Unicorn came out as a single, so way back when.
daughters 18th the night of the Brum gig, gutted, bloody kids.
Got a ticket for this :-)
Yes should be going too
I can see the team being changed a bit, but a 2-2 draw!
2-1 Loss I think! :(
I know there are a few cyclists on here, so thought we could have a thread for all things cycling.
My first question, however, is actually about...
I know there are a handful of avid followers on here, this isnt another "who watches NFL in the UK" thread, we have enough of those and no doubt...
Can't see a thread anywhere.
Darren Ferguson, Doncaster manager, has said they have to win all of their remaining 3 games to survive. We...
