I don't quite get how people are saying bring a new striker in and yet at the same time asking why Ponticelli isn't getting any game time.

There's a fixation on having that 20 goal a season striker. Obviously I want one, but the way people go on as if they're in abundance! McNulty last season in L2 he average a goal every 2.7 games, over 46 goals, that's 17. Biamou scored 15+ last season, Andreu got 13 and Jodi Jones is on 3 already. We have players who can score goals - we're 4 games into the league!

In the 6 games so far, scored more than 2+ goals in half of these games. It isn't like the start of last season where we weren't scoring at all! In the games we lost, we had 2 bad mistakes from the goalkeeper... So only 1 goal conceded where we were outplayed. I'm not panicking just yet despite two consecutive disappointing results. The last two results could've been very different had LOB not made clangers. That said, we benefitted from a clanger v Grimsby, that's football.

Should we start playing 4-4-2 instead of 4-2-3-1? Time will tell.

I'd take smith all day long, tidy record at this level and a focal point who will offer something different to what we have.
