Only on till 18.25 due to cricket .................................... #Cack
No-one's birthday or anniversary today, Bob?
And when is Gary Roberts signing?
Very soon mate .
Oh shit too late now then
The last five minutes will be traffic and weather.
TBF they slip the football in between the weather n' travel
So far, tonight's phone-in;
Started at 18:10
Clips of the goals
Clips of Saturdays calls
Couple of texts
Clive talking about whether to sell Willis and Stevenson 3 times
Adverts about other shite CWR shows
My god, this format is so dated. Fuck squeakin the Dulux dog and Linnell off and get some young, passionate genuine football fans in, who don't argue with the view of every caller.
Oh hang on, things are about to get better.... an interview with Burge coming up!
20 past now.. phone in with no caller. Re-playing the Robins interview now
Pretty sure you can't sell a player 3 times. FA wouldn't allow it.
Things like podcasts will overtake
I think they already have. Has to be on demand now days
Still think it would work better with a Panel.
It would, the phone in isn't as relevant with the internet and social media now as you can see views instantly.
Trouble is who do you get on that panel.
No matter what they say they will get slaughtered by someone that's why people don't phone in now.
Who sets the questions or do you just ask the same ones every week.
People who have been to games and seen it, the fan of the week thing also with guests, ex players etc etc.
If they're that short for callers I'll phone in next week! I do like Linnel but I think Eakin has long past it, he shows more passion watching the cricket than the football.
There must be stacks of former players living locally who'd do it. Doesn't have to constantly be different people. If you got a decent group of 10 - 15 ex-players then some fans who can string two words together it could be good.
Eakin is such an obnoxious twat. One of the best parts about iFollow is not having to listen to that moron any more.
I listen to it whenever I can. I quite enjoy it. Just try to forget that it is supposed to be for us and our football club and enjoy it for it's comedy value.
Na, I don't mind him really. Linnell is ok to and the last couple of years has come off the fence. Particularly liked his response to the caller last week who was moaning about Robins not playing our own younger players. "You mean the ones that got us relegated"
Nice one Stuart .
At least Foster seems to have taken a back seat-the worst of the lot! Must of been bringing the biscuits from Tesco on his way in to the office for the last 10 years for the 1pm tea break or something.
I'll be honest I can't even tell the difference between Stuart linnell and Clive Eakin when they speak
Yeah. I rarely get to listen but always find it best to hear the views of ex players. Also, Adam Dent always provided the best analysis.

CWR is already available in 'play it again' mode. So if the show sounds ermmm.. a lot better than described above, it is possible to take it in another day.
Yeah that's the kind of thing I'm on about
Andy Turner Rob Gurney Steve Carpenter, maybe a local non league manager now and then.
Improve the phone in immediately by getting rid of that idiot Linnell. He can't stand it when somebody disagrees with him. I have tweeted several times to the show disagreeing with him and never once been read out. He is the same with callers and will shout down those that don't tow his line. He considers himself well informed but never discloses any information so either he is an 'in-the-know' or just makes us believe he has friends in high places when the opposite is true. Secondly ban fans who publically admit to boycotting games. The same old people every week can clearly have no valid points to make about games if they never see them. Finally they should vet callers before they go on. Some are just embarrassing and make a mockery of the whole point of the programme.
I feel it's a case of beggars not being choosers here!
I think people who do not go should not comment on the game afterwards.
Any Coventry City supporter has the right to an opinion about a result or general club comment, where I believe you are right is that unless they have witnessed the game through whatever method available nowadays or by attending the game live then fans should refrain from offering a specific opinion.
I must admit that it can irritate when a fan says this player was shit and then are asked "did they see the game?" and the answer is "well I didn't go but........"
If you want the style of the phone in changed then why not lobby as whatsapp group or something to try and affect change?
That's where the format needs to be changed, people will listen for the match commentary as it is the only option. If people who did Podcasts suddenly decided they would do their own and Ifollow used them, the BBC's numbers would drastically fall.
Nobody wants to listen to aimless rants from people who have no interest in the result or haven't seen the game. They want to hear people's opinions of who played well and who didn't, what the manager says and thinks etc. With social media, blogs, podcasts etc people can get that instantly online on their phones before, during and after the game. The official CCFC website now has videos online within a couple of hours of Robins after the game too.
Used to love the show when Rob Gurney was one, but its just got worse and worse.
Until they get rid of Coventry's own Alan Partridge, Stuart Linnell, the show will continue to be a one eyed load of shite, controlled by Linnell who shouts down and refuses to listen to anyone who doesn't agree with him, regardless of whether they make well reasoned well argued points.
Like to hear ex Sky Blues on and their views on the club and the football, and agree with Fernando that Adam Dent was always a well reasoned and informed analyst.
Loved this classic on Saturday: "I wasn't at the game but it was a stonewall penalty."
Guessing they'd maybe watched the stream? Not sure how they'd know otherwise.
They could have been watching though
I know it just sounds funny as it sounds like they haven't even seen it.
It's worse when they struggle to name any players or don't really know what's happened during the game at all and aren't really interested. They then lead on to go on about something their friend told them.
To be fair I have to remind my Dad now and then who's who.
Separate names with a comma.
