The only other rule change i would like to see is the single point kick after a TD.
It would be so much better if this was kicked from point of TD catch position (a bit like rugby), not right under the bloody posts!!
I just don't see the point of it when they hardly ever miss.

Usually a foregone conclusion, the Extra Point or Point After Touchdown is considered by many little more than afterthought. In fact, famed coach Bill Belichick had this to say about the PAT
"Philosophically, plays that are non-plays shouldn’t be in the game. I don't think it is good for the game. Extra points, when the odds are in the 99 percent range in extra points it is not a play.”

From the 1990 to 2011 seasons, 22 seasons in total, there were 23,684 extra point attempts during the regular season. Of these, a total of 23,325 were successfully made for a league wide extra point efficiency rating of 98.48%.
In total, only 359 times has a Kicker missed the point after touchdowns. Breaking this number down further, we found that 103 were blocked while kickers missed 256 straight out.
Rounding up, it appears that Belichick was dead on.

Another suggestion put forward to make it a bit more interesting was to have whoever scored the TD take the kick.

Just read an interesting statistic. The average NFL game lasts for 3 hours and 12 minutes and on average the ball is in play for just 11 minutes.

Was just watching the cricket.

Anderson bowling. Time inbetween each ball and his starting his run has been 31 secs. Ball in play for 2.5 secs (ball from hand to bat with a play and a miss/ball straight through to keeper/defensive prod down the pitch/shot fielded at short range for no run.

Actually just changed my mind about the Chiefs. Just looked now and they have some key injuries to their pass rushing and New England have a few fit again, so I am going for Pats win. If Brady gets time he will just pick them apart.

Denver v Panthers or Packers final.

Sooooooooo glad Denver won yesterday.. not only because i don't like the Patriots but some of their fans yesterday in the bar were f-in insufferable!!
They remind me so much how the Man United fans were when they were winning everything.. arrogant pricks the lot them...

It was so good to see at least 10 guys sitting at the bar with their heads in the hands at the end....:claping hands:

I honestly thought Carolina had had their good run before the playoffs but fair play to them.. they look unstoppable..
They have to be favourites for the Superbowl...

Has anyone ever been out to watch it in Coventry? First time watching it in Coventry and have been told of a handful of places, the Phoenix, carters sports bar and the casino at the Ricoh.

The casino is the front runner at the moment.

The NFL teams are forever moving, expect the once famous Raiders to up sticks to Las Vegas in the coming years.

Only 32 teams across 50 states, unlike in the UK where every city town and village has a football team, hence why the college teams are so popular
