The notion the football club would ever own a stadium in its own right would be pie in the sky. Any business that suggested it would be unfit for purpose.

Sisu would never have owned the stadium either. CCFC (holdings ) would have owned it and that would have been the correct decision.

The stadium clearly was a white elephant as the documents toddy showed. The council would do anything to stop the club getting it but acknowledged it was a financial basket case they could I'll afford to own

Everything has a price. The Ricoh many on here said was a gold mine without CCFC. A potential for wonderful things. A rival to the NEC.

In the end it was sold for less than sisu paid Freddie Eastwood over his contract with the club.

So, either Freddie Eastwood was worth more than a gold mine of a stadium or the stadium was valued at less than a centre forward who was a flop in his profession. White elephant - you decide.

How about answering this instead of trying to make up reasons why you could be right for once?

If the arena was a white elephant how did Wasps manageto raise so much money against it?

If the arena was a white elephant why did Wasps move so far away from their fan base?

SISU moved us to Northampton to devalue the arena. That didn't make it a white elephant. An empty house normally sells for less than one lived in. You thought that SISU were doing it the right way. You thought that they would win the JR. You have insulted people who work for CCC on here. You just seem to have an agenda.

Bit premature i think, there is still a good chance Sisu could get considerable damages from CCC yet.......none of know how this may play out yet do we

Which bit is premature?

The JR that he said SISU would win finished a fair bit of time ago now.

And for SISU to get substantial damages they would have to be proved to be an innocent party. Could anyone seriously say that?

This whole debacle reminds me of a playground squabble.

"He hit me!"
"They started it!"
"He's not coming to my party!"
STORMS OFF WITH THE FOOTBALL
"It's my ball and you can't play!"
Teacher: shake hands and make up!
"Shall we have a sleep over?"

According to wasps the money raised against the ricoh was all down to the wasps brand and not the stadium itself. It was in the article weeman posted. Gilberts been quiet on this thread. Is he still banging on about free press and the right to report news. Blah blah blah. Apart from that one time the CET sat on a story. But it is just a genuine coincidence when the CET release negative press at a positive time

Look the council are no saints "most" of us no this but the events yesterday is that board room were irrelevant. And guess what it came to nothing? The bashing ccc get isn't fair. The pair are as bad as eachother (sisu +ccc) and with this as the case we are where we are not because sisu are better or ccc are better.

This forum seems to be very pro sisu which is fine but can't really see how. I sit in the middle I dislike both parties here and they are both to blame for this Ricoh stadium shambles. So all these people who are anti sisu or anti ccc then all I will say is 9 times out of 10 it's normally somewhere in the middle.

P.S and the reason this thread hasn't got the hits and posts is because no one cares. It's irrelevant. People care about the pitch and attendances and our new signings and results not over some brunch meeting at a council board room. People have had enough and nothing will change now. Going through the motions springs to mind but yes no one cares.

Still took the time out of your morning to let us know that you don't care. Thanks. I feel better for knowing

Yeah all 2 minutes SBZ. You're very right.

And thank you for your detailed and knowledgable response. I've taken it on Board.

Anyway back on topic shall we?

Is he allowed two days off?

Don't worry sure you will get some sarky remark that's hilarious.

Anyway if FP and SBZ want to contribute to this thread?

What is your beef? What's so wrong that's got you so mad over this pointless meeting yesterday? (On topic)

To be fair to the Council here we might have a chance in 2264, so it's not all bad news. Thanks Ann.

Both sisu and the council have failed the club and us, the fans over the last 8-9 years. As has been previously said, sisu certainly won't be here forever, however the council have ensured that no matter who owns the club will never have an opportunity to own the Ricoh.

It was bizarre that some posters had the time were actually posting 'up the council.'

Bellends

Just shows the power of PR. My initial view, and I suspect many others, was that it was about 80% SISU's fault and 20% council. As more evidence emerges, it's certainly not that now.

The council have clearly screwed the club over as their hatred of sisu came before anything else. The CET consistently try to undermine the club but strenuously deny it as if people can't read or write nor come to their own opinion. At the same time there hangin on every word wasps say. This being the same papaper who were that against us being in Northampton that they launched a campaign to bring us home. Thats annoying. Its hypocritical. In all fairness you would struggle to make it up. Then to top it off you have people saying move on. What's done is done. Can't see the problem etc etc. I'm sick of it. It's my club. My city. And I do care!

I care to but I don't cry over spilt milk which is what you're doing. One meeting yesterday isn't changing a thing so get over it. You know as much as me and we judge it for ourselves hence we are entitled to our own opinion.

As I said the there more than likely lies somewhere in the middle and council bashing isn't the way forward just as sisu bashing isn't. I also dislike the CT as their reporting I will accept seems very biased and hypercritical at times.

My point is who cares where the blame lies? It's obvious all parties share the blame so no point in pointing fingers and slagging off over a forum. We need positive ways to overcome it and be together as fans not slagging other fans off for having another point of view.

My opinion is let's see where we are after this season SBZ by that I mean if we get promoted we get a much bigger say on the Ricoh as championship football is a big prize these days. (Never use to be) and if we get promoted then we can use our weight a bit more and get better deals for ccfc as a club. If we don't get promoted then nothing wrong with the rent deal we are on For now.

What's your way forward?

Yep, PR and the Media is very influential.

As seen in the evidence the PR company were working with somebody at Supporters Direct who I guess are also quite influential. Team that up with local media, social media and it can get an opinion out there. When you have editors being "briefed" by the council and deals being made to keep things that look bad quiet, you can't blame people for thinking things.

Then you have people signing up on forums / telegraph comments etc to constantly drum over an agenda.

A good example is when Wasps moved, there were people all over Twitter saying for them to F Off back to London, they are not welcome. Within 2 weeks their profile was saying Allez Wasps etc, because the local media / influential people had "backed" the move. If the trust and telegraph had come out and said how wrong Wasps was, would they be as popular?*

*this isn't a right or wrong thing in here, just pointing out PR.

If there was no JR coming up, this would not be happening. At the moment we are examining the ethics ( or Lack of ) of one side in a dispute. A bit like watching a penalty shoot out with only one side taking the penalties.

lol

2013 sisu out, sisu scum, fisher scum, all sisus fault

2015: who cares whos to blame?

I didn't care then and I don't care now. It's obvious both parties are to blame so get over it. Us fans were screwed by things we can't control. Why get mad? It's depressing and frustrating but we need ways to move forward. Looking back to head of terms in 2012 over 3 years ago and who messed it up won't change a thing.

Hedge funds don't need ethics. Local politicians do.

no one ever cheered sisu on though, but many did cheer council on

thats the difference. you must see that?

Well thanks for a debateable response unlike some.

Not really. I see the council lovers and sisu lovers where as I hate both. Grendel was right about the council posters who don't post any more but I also see some posters back sisu when any sort of new argument comes to light.

@ Grendel: ML claimed SISU were not "a dodgy hedgefund" and Joy let us know, through an unbiased Journalist, that she is a devout christian. Was this done to fool us into thinking that hedgefunds do have ethics?

backing sisu does not mean you love them, its clear council have been far worse than sisu over last few years.

It is not clear. Let's see what happens at the JR. Then both sides can tell their story. We will never have access to Joy's/ SISU's tactical discussions as they are not obliged to divulge them. Bear that in mind when forming an opinion.

No doubt all the people saying get over it, time to move on etc, would be frothing at the mouth if all this evidence was pointing against Sisu.

Let's be honest Sisu are complete arseholes and have done no end of damage to our club for the last 8 years or so.
Our very own council though have damaged us for the next 250. Utter cretins IMO.
