One thing that seems to be overlooked...their keeper made a great save off Lamieras. The two key decisions that went against us was linesman not ref decisions.

The problem was that the referee got the first big decision very badly wrong. After that he really is going nowhere.

The ball was over the line - difficult to see yes but it was. Anyway if not it was a penalty.

Having said that Sheffield looked a very poor side - low on ability and confidence and the manager looks like a dead man walking.

So really we should have comfortably won. There are some concerns. Armstrong for some reason isn't as effective away. We didn't create as many chances as we should have. Cole had little impact and Kent is wayward.

Everyone will focus on the keeper for the goal but if he comes out defenders should drop to the goal line so it was poor all ends up and the fact it hit the guy on the shoulder with his eyes closed summed it a up.

Regardless of the poor referee they were a team expecting to lose. We should have won.

The ref had a good view of that tackle I think

For a week, then back to how it was for them to do it again

That's crap if true, there should be something to stop them from being allowed to continue to officiate at games if they give a performance like that.

They get protected at the end of the game so nobody can speak to them, managers can't say anything against them.

Completely agree with all of this Grendel. Quite a hard one to take, could only realistically see one winner at half time. That's 2 consecutive games where RCC has cost us points with glaring errors. Perhaps an experienced head is another property in January. Get rid of Burge and have RCC as number 2.

Was difficult to see. Where the officials were truly at fault was not picking up the handball. The clue was in the arm being outstretched towards goal!

The weekend could have been worse, if Wigan had won and Walsall had played we would probably be 3 points off top 2 with Wigan breathing down our necks. We have time to make amends in the next 4 games and play Walsall & Burton at home in Jan.

Murphy had a shocker today
The ref was poor and Reice gifted the goal
Think Stokes is starting to struggle a bit too

Think we lost the minute obrien went off , i also think that was the worst refereeing display i have ever seen live .
It was a goal , it was a handball , it was a sending off for hammond and mceverly,
We werent great today but good enough to get something .
Worst sheffield united side i have ever seen

Keith Hackett's big call verdicts: McEveley should have seen red; Coventry disallowed goal "well over" the line. #ccfc red card correct. #starlive

AS we all know the keeper has got to get the ball if he comes for it but with no one on either post it's a real risk. As said on commentary you get punished for the mistake when you get it wrong.

Stokes hasn't missed a game do he will tire and Murphy provided little back up. I thought attack wise Murphy was ok.

I thought we lost our way of once Cole come on. Also when Sharpe came on for them you knew they we going for the 1 goal to win it.

We weren't up to our standards today but Sheffield didn't have a shot. 3 dropped and regardless of abysmal refereeing it's the keepers' fault.

Murphy looks dangerous one on one. Give him two players to run at and he does not seem to have the confidence or the ability.

Totally agree with you. Yes we did more than enough to win. They never caused us any problems. They are awful....probably the most overrated overpaid players in the league. I wouldn't swap one of our players for theirs. They won't finish to 6! watching that game today gave me more conviction that we will be top 6. We were a little of the boil. But we're plain unlucky. Good tactics. I'm not worried!

Mowbray....we need a centre back. And why replace a midfielder vincelot who's a lot more likelier to score than Fortune.

Quite frankly if I never see Fortune in a cov shirt I won't be disappointed. He is just a the worst striker in league one. He comes on plays in midfiled.

We simply move on.

They Are awful....I'm confident seen enough today to realise top 6 is a doddle in this poor league. We will give someon an absolute pasting soon.

Onwards and upwards.

ps shopping list. One centre back. And get rid of Fortune. Bit harsh to judge joe Cole ...but honestly and openly I'm not sure he gets ahead of Maddison or obrian

Mowbray played fortune in wide right not as a striker.

Who is he and what about Hammond?[/QUOTE

Hackett is ex top ref as well as being a referee assessor and the man behind 'you are the ref' in Shoot and Newspapers. Also wrote a couple of decent books on being a ref.
