Ones that got away / ones we let go (9 Viewers)

Players we should have kept (and could have - IE we let them go free when they wanted to stay)

No.1 Dimi Konstantopoulos.

Had a few nightmares (unsurprisingly given the defence we had) but had a solid background.

Then again, he was understudy to Andy Marshall and then replaced by Keiren Westwood, both equally as good if not better.

I am struggling to think of anybody, always felt Ndlovu was let go too soon, as was Whelan.

We only had him on loan but a deal was there for the taking and he offered bags of creativity for next to nothing....Chris Marsden

I think Onandi Lowe was badly managed.

Chef Evans played his best football when on bail / with charges hanging over him as did, I think, Lee Hughes.

Lowe was found not guilty in the end, yet we fired him way before trial.

Lowe, on bail, worried about it being his last opportunity to earn decent money, properly managed.....

Chris Marsden was outstanding for us. It was a travesty that we let him go and to make matters worse we opted instead for Sandy ??????? from Rangers, who was useless

To be fair Dimi and Clarke-Harris never really showed any signs of being decent when they were with us, I remember we were courting Adam LeFondre at one point, that could have been great.

Was dissapointed when we let Baker go and I think that was a big error, his passion and belief was incredible, was also dissapointed when we let mcsheffrey go the second time, but in hindsight that was for the best.

How much did we get for aloisi?

He should have started a lot more games than he did for us
Would have been far better to keep Aloisi after relegation from the premier league that have splashed out on Hughes, who did little for us, and Joachim who was always injured. Think he would have scored goals in the second division.

Carl baker !!!!! Easily the most recent in last few years !! That was the nail in Pressleys coffin for me

Ridiculous; his performances in the division we signed him for were far from consistent and not good enough most of the time.

I've met and worked with him through a charity and he is a top guy before anyone starts banging on about 'haters'.

Your man would have fired us to promotion for sure. Joachim was decent under Black and scored a few before going elsewhere?

Hughes was a complete waste of money.

Before my time but wasn't Brian Clough on the verge of signing for us (after Jimmy?...) but had a change of heart because we leaked it to the press? Or have I made all that up?...

If true it would be fascinating to think what would have happened to the club under his stewardship.

carl may be a nice man, but bar the birmingham cup game and about 5 free kicks, his time at coventry was fucking garbage
that first year aloe, he was booed off and on the pitch and was lambasted as being shiiiite

his final season he was even worse

People still pine for Carl Baker. The bloke was useless barring a couple of outstanding performances a season. Why do our fans love all players who interact on social media despite how crap they might be.. RCC, Gunnarsson, Reda, 'Bakes'... All loved despite being average at best, baffling and weird.

Cody mcdonald also scored something like 40 in 100 ganes after leaving us. Would have been handy when Wilson got injured and Clarke buggerred off

John Filan. Turned out to be a fantastic goal-keeper. John Aloisi, a great striker.
