It's bleedin obvious news and the likes of OSB amongst others have been banging on about this for a couple of years now.
We all knew a new stadium was never going to happen. I know Italia has his detractors, but isn't this pretty much what he's been saying too? That we are stuck with where we are and we have to work with what we've got.

Basically he's said we need an equal partnership at the Ricoh, maybe not in terms of actual ownership but equal in all revenue streams, branding, advertising, club shop etc. and all the other important areas.
The general opinion is Wasps won't be open to that so its back to square 1, if he can make it happen then fair play but I doubt it.

No he's been saying we have a deal of renting as we are. This is saying we want to be renting as if ACL are an independent overseeing two sporting clubs
He mentions premiership as that is always the issue. If the club gets to that level the reciprocal benefits to the stadium are huge and the hint is the football club should be the main benefactors.

It would be easy to say told you so but there are a couple of caveats to what he is saying aren't there
1) Just how are they going to pay or compensate Wasps for giving up some of their income? CA surely cant expect it for free or on the basis that we are now or will be a "successful team" Where do we get the money to buy in?
2) Wasps know we haven't got anywhere else to go
3) going to need to get it past Ms Seppala who has to this point steadfastly refused to form partnerships of the sort indicated
Any income stream, including naming rights, could be for sale to say otherwise is simply wrong....... the stumbling block is what it costs or how it is paid for

Somebody might be able to answer this for me, roughly with whats been said now are we better off for now as our outgoings versus or incomings renting from wasps, if we did get new stadium wouldnt our rent aka mortage on new stadium be higher then what were paying wasps now so more outgoings there wed be more in debt and hard to pay back? if we went up and current rent situation with waps i wonder what kinda money we would make if a new deal was struck with wasps compared to being in debt with new stadium?

Still think he's talking shit about the current deal in the championship, he seems to ignore the other 23 clubs will also have that additional review he says we will get from being there.

With regards to naming rights (assuming that they're still available) there's nothing stopping the club going out and finding a sponsor, set up a deal and then take a finders fee/commission for setting a deal up.

Considering how well negotiations have gone in the past I don't see why a deal which involves 17 different areas of discussion would be a problem.

This to me looks like we're setting up for a media strategy against Wasps, if we go to them with 17 demands that are not commercially acceptable (remember they are owned by a hedge fund too) then they will refuse and the club can say 'wasps are standing in the way of our progress'

I don't know anyone who believed it 2-3 years ago, and following all the lies about sites and deadlines surely even the most rabid Sisu apologist hasn't believed it in more recent times.

Ok look at the 2015 accounts -- Turnover was 4.7m Lets be on the positive side say revenue increases by 7m Round terms 12m in total and has nothing to do with changing the stadium deal
Wages will more than double - to be competitive I wouldnt mind betting near treble. In the accounts to 2015 they stood at 5.2m. Just doubling takes up nearly all the turnover and because we are self sufficient where is the money for things like transfer fees, buying in to income streams, other operating costs coming from?

He talks about Swansea, 85% of their income comes from media - in the same position we wouldn't need to rely on Wasps to achieve that

An evening with TM would have made more sense at the Ricoh for example. They could run a few of them a year involving the ex players association. The clubs owners have links with AEG, why couldn't they get them involved with attracting events to the Ricoh as a three way partnership with Wasps? There's always more than one way to skin a cat.
