.....no new stadium then?? http://www.coventrytelegraph.net/news/coventry-news/coventry-city-fc-chief-says-10978189
We'll it will be interesting. Let's see what they want and let's see the response on here when wasps say no.
They could say yes. Just a thought like.
It's bleedin obvious news and the likes of OSB amongst others have been banging on about this for a couple of years now.
We all knew a new stadium was never going to happen. I know Italia has his detractors, but isn't this pretty much what he's been saying too? That we are stuck with where we are and we have to work with what we've got.
And we need to move this club forwards to get to that scenario. No he's been saying we have a deal of renting as we are. This is saying we want to be renting as if ACL are an independent overseeing two sporting clubs
He mentions premiership as that is always the issue. If the club gets to that level the reciprocal benefits to the stadium are huge and the hint is the football club should be the main benefactors.
Surely this is good news?? No??
To naming rights?
But that's just an if isn't it. Let's see the questions asked and see what happens first. Before everyone gets too excited that we're not going to hear Fisher banging on about a new stadium again what happens if Anderson goes to Wasps with his 17 point deal and gets told to go away?
I wouldn't say surprise, I would say total shock!.....no new stadium then?? http://www.coventrytelegraph.net/news/coventry-news/coventry-city-fc-chief-says-10978189

Considering how well negotiations have gone in the past I don't see why a deal which involves 17 different areas of discussion would be a problem. Before everyone gets too excited that we're not going to hear Fisher banging on about a new stadium again what happens if Anderson goes to Wasps with his 17 point deal and gets told to go away?
Yep! You keep saying this OSB and it continues to keep making sense.so getting in the Championship will double revenue.
Ok look at the 2015 accounts -- Turnover was 4.7m Lets be on the positive side say revenue increases by 7m Round terms 12m in total and has nothing to do with changing the stadium deal
Wages will more than double - to be competitive I would mind betting near treble. In the accounts to 2015 they stood at 5.2m. Just doubling takes up nearly all the turnover and because we are self sufficient where is the money for things like transfer fees, buying in to income streams, other operating costs coming from?
Yes we need all the extra income we can get but think about the sums involved the vast majority of the football related income still and always has gone to the club. He talks about Swansea 85% of their income comes from media - in the same position we wouldn't need to rely on Wasps to achieve that
I do not see Wasps sharing the other incomes such as conferences, rent, events etc. But what is to stop CCFC putting events on for themselves?
Is there anyone at all, on this forum or elsewhere, that has ever seriously believed that CCFC were going to build a new stadium? I don't know anyone who believed it 2-3 years ago, and following all the lies about sites and deadlines surely even the most rabid Sisu apologist hasn't believed it in more recent times.
I do wonder though - did that Garlick woman ever believe it was likely to be built? Or did she fall for a con-trick, or - more likely - did they just pay her to front the nonsense?
Yep! You keep saying this OSB and it continues to keep making sense.
