I will buy a season ticket as I have for every season except Sixfields. What I dont understand is how a club like Burton with crowds half of ours can do so well and we just stay the same or have a purple patch and then sink.

Maybe they'll offer a free tour of their hollowed out volcano lair because they're evil supervillains from a Bond film innit bruv

I heard its in a limestone stack of the coast of Thailand registered in the name of Fishermanga, aka the man with the golden share :)

It's not because Burton spend money, it's because they have a strategy and they plan ahead,
hence they can loose there manager half way through the season and it has little to no affect.
There team is settled and they will only have to bring in a few players in the summer, to
complement what they already have. We on the other hand are looking at another complete
overhaul, it's impossible to have any idea how we will get on, but I think an outsider
looking in would give us little hope of a promotion push.

We have possibly the most negative fans in the world. No one thought we would be any good this season but we were for half of it. We have been starved of any success but let's just think positively for a change. Let's go up the ricoh thinking we can win this today. Maybe it won't work. Maybe I'm completely clueless. Maybe it's worth a go though.

we are not negative - we are just realistic
45 years without a top 6 finish - thats statistically more than 100 times less likely that Leicester winning the premier league

2011/12 - relegated bottom for most of the season, relegation was predicted by most fans as squad was allowed to deteriorate from the previous season
2012/13 - 3 managers, JPT area final, administration points deduction, manager resigns
2013/14 - Sixfields, points deduction finished 18th
2014/15 - sold Callum Wilson, moved back to Ricoh just before WAPS move in knocked out by Worcester stayed up on the last day of the season
2015/16 - may finish mid-table after a second half of the season collapse, knocked out of all cup competitions in the first round

Surprised fans are negative.

This is it for me too. Fuck them forever for Sixfields, but I'm not on board with the various conspiracy theories of them wanting to stay in the third division and whatever else. It paints them as being calculating and smart whereas we've seen almost a decade of bungling idiocy, animal metaphors and bizarrely orange men.

I think they are smarter than you give them credit for. If there wasn't a financial advantage for these leeches to remain they would have gone long ago !

I think the chances of a financial bonanza for SISU ,disappeared along with the Ricoh into
the clutches of the eggmen. The only way they could cash in now would be an unlikely
return to the prem, but that would take investment and they don't do investment do they.
so that leaves us stumbling along (self sufficient) waiting on court cases , and when
they're done, more court cases.

Make that 1/3 of the gates we get. Has nobody noticed our average gate this year is actually 12,500? The first time we've seen an increase on the previous season since SISU arrived I think.

Season ticket sales won't really move. We sold 5700 this season (after a pre-xmas boost), 5000 last season, and 5900 in our first season in league 1. Will be in that ballpark again I suspect.

If we are self sufficient what are court cases to do with anything?

The club do not pay for court cases.

We would pay in a round about way I would of thought. No proof exactly don't get me wrong but it would be naive to think the club doesn't pay for it as such.

Anyway court cases are irrelevant. It doesn't affect the football or TM. It's a side matter. The on going court cases was not the reason we had an horrific collapse after Christmas.
