whats the priority?

For me the team all day long! The amount of money it would cost to build or expand on the butts would be better spent on a building a promotion winning team surely?

Build the foundations of the club, and the club will look after itself.

Don't bother about the foundations, and you end up where we are now.

We could have had the foundations if sisu didn't act like bullies when the offer to buy half the ground was there for a lot less it would cost to expand the butts

Build the infrastructure that will secure the clubs future. The 'have a punt' approach has never worked.

And you're also assuming there's a pot of money waiting to be spent. Its unlikely the money that would be raised to build a new stadium would also be available to the club for the player budget.

So where is the money coming from? So basically your saying you will take mediocrity for years just for a ground which we wouldn't own outright anyway? If sisu didn't act like such twats years ago we wouldn't be here now

Jon Sharp hinted that student accommodation could be a big part of the equation. He also said that he would like to see a retail offering on the site.
Money from those developments could help finance a significant proportion of any ground expansion.
Financial contributions from the rugby club and CCFC are also likely to be needed.
It’s possible other partners and sponsors might look to get involved along the way.

I would take mediocrity for a few years if it secures our long term future. We've been told by independent experts that staying at the Ricoh as tenants will put us, at best, towards the bottom of the championship. If this plan means the future is better than that then yes I would wait for it.

Remember Anderson has also said he is speaking to Wasps about various things that the club would need to enable them to stay at the Ricoh. Its not that its the move to the Butts or nothing, its one of the options under consideration.

You also have to realise that the money for the stadium isn't sat around available to TM if we decide to stay at the Ricoh.

Lol but seriously can't believe fans don't want us to invest in the team.

You must have a short memory. What you're suggesting is what many of our previous owners such as Richardson and Ranson did. That's how we've needed up in this mess!

if sisu built a stadium , they would keep hold of it at all costs, and bleed any future owner of ccfc in rent money, just like they're being bled now . we will drift from one dream come shit storm to the next as long as they'er at ccfc.

No I think you have. Remember when we had the chance to own half the Ricoh for under 5 million? And we turned it down!

That's got nothing to do with the question you asked unless you've got a time machine and we can go back and purchase the Ricoh.

Same with buying shit players like we have in the past. All if's and buts on both cases. But give me a winning team over a new ground any day

I would imagine that any money needed to fund a stadium development would come from a different source than that for investment in the team. If so, that means that potential stadium funds would not have been available to invest in the team. It also means that any funds earmarked for the team could still be available for the team, so it isn't necessarily an "either one or the other" situation.

you're presenting a ridiculously oversimplified either/or and then wondering why people don't want to repeat the mistakes that have got us here.

I think the only way to be saleworthy is to invest in something that gives structure to a potential buyer......ie what leicester attracted maybe

Asking a question one way or the other and then saying its bizarre when people disagree then blaming sisu is fucking nuts
