CA: Lease Extension At Higgs Ignored (14 Viewers)

Sad to say I knew this was on the cards from the moment wasps rocked up at the Ricoh almost 2 years ago but no one wanted to listen.

This should have been ripped up at the roots from the very beginning and wasps should have been sent packing the moment they arrived but people thought it was great and didn't want to see the warning signs.

The wasps infestation i fear is too deep now to stop.

It was obviously always going to happen; it is not in their interests to have a successful football team in the city. This, along with the city of rugby bollocks, means that it is looking more and more likely that CCFC will fold. Still, as long as SISU lose out then it is price worth paying, right?

It's not a done deal yet so instead of arguing with each other about whose fault it is etc get together. A lot of people say SISU one day will be gone that's the future the loss of the academy will be final and if we don't stick together it will be gone.
I think it is now, see the planning application thread. Its unbelievable how SISU let themselves be out manouvered, they are completely useless and have led the club to ruin.

Yep, but surely be a bit angry about the club being fucked over rather than happy sisu have been out manouvred?

Don't bloody put words in my mouth you twat, I'm rather angry that the custodians of the club have let things come to this. I largely blame SISUs inadequacies.

It wasn't Maltese investors that took YOU and CCFC to Northampton, so they ain't my enemies so go back to your keyboard and be happy that I join a long list that believe you are just a twat

and here lies the problem with a lot of our support, this my enemys enemy is my friend attitude.

They're all fucking us over, but as long as they're not SISU they're quite happy to bend over and take the shafting.

So let me get this right we need to up arms against CCC, Higgs & Wasps but not allowed to question Sisu's actions even if like now it means the death of CCFC ?

All the parties above have some portion of blame but ultimately 90% of the key decisions and actions Sisu have taken have been wrong. These decisions have not been in the interest of CCFC and have led us to the point we are now at.

Think 13 products of the academy played last season. That's a lot of players to replace if we don't continue to produce our own.
When you look at stats like that it's a pretty scary future (or lack of one) for us. Surely SISU looked at our only source of major income - the production line of players, and tried to get a long term lease for the academy. If not why not. And if so, Higgs have screwed us. Either way it's a terrible state of affairs.

On the flip side you want to concentrate solely on sisu and not question CCC, higgs or wasps even if like now it means the death of ccfc!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Personally I think we should be putting pressure on all side in this.

Yes, that seems to be the long and short of it for some on here.

Plus by even dare raising the question it automatically means you're not a 'real' or 'actual' fan apparently.

I totally agree all sides need pressure and its bollocks what Wasps say about the academy still being workable at the Higgs. To make it work the plans would have to be changed.
But should we not get our own house in order first ?

Don't be too hard on yourself.

Wasps see you as their torchbearer on here fighting their position against fans of the football club.

Strange, most have been saying that all sides should be hammered and agreeing with the trust statement.

It's just that as soon as anybody mentioned wasps people don't like it, it looks that because Fisher bullshits, it means every body else can and get away with it.

Tbf the ball is now in SISUs court. The others have made their moves. What is our next move? Have we committed ourselves to the BPA? Has the Rugby Club ratified working together? We can claim heritage, but what are we doing now? When we won the cup the council held a civic banquet. We showed Cov in a positive light and CCC were all football mad. Now it's just JRs. Yes, by all means stress us being part of Cov, but some gesture from SISU to counterbalance the other Hedge Fund's PR would come in very handy for our argumentation.

Its not all in sisus court, we through the trust should be protesting and putting pressure on all parties. This is not just about the Ricoh this is also about the academy.

Some very clever pr by wasps. The cov fans get angry at them about the academy, wasp deflect it onto the rent agreement make it sound like it was going swimmingly but then laying the blame at the sisu.

Now everyone's moving their attention from the academy and are back talking about sisu and the court case that has nothing to with wasps.

Sisu aren't going to stop the JR appeals, so we're stuck and luckily for wasps everyone will buy their excuse.

Sisu won't drop any court action because its the only slightest chance of winning compensation for their investors.
The interests of their investors comes first !

Exactly.

The trust come out and say they are going to start pressuring all sides, talk ramps up about action against them all.

They put a statement out offering to help the academy, and all turning it on the club.

Also the subtle anti sisu pr that had ramped up in advance of the academy news coming out.

It's clever because somehow a random rugby club with no affinity to the city have Coventry city fans doing their pr. It must be a piece of piss, just mention sisu.

"Yes, we are just going to do this, sisus fault though"

The Trust can put little pressure on anyone. Money talks or maybe PR. SISU must do something. Just relying on the Trust alone to get them out of this predicament is very naive. SISU have been cornered. Doesn't look good for CCFC. CA doesn't come across as a leader with charisma. We need someone who can stand up and motivate... Not seen anyone yet.

So maybe if people didnt put up with the pr? The trust can do pr.

Honestly Nick it would really help if you actually bothered reading my replies before jumping on them.

I said ">>>some<<< on here".

Next time I'll also drop it on my Twitter feed if that would help?
