Wasps reject proposal to withdraw application (1 Viewer)

If that is me you are talking about. I didn't just come on to say that.

I have lurked for a long time.

I have actually said other stuff

I have been a CCFC fan all my life. I was at Wembley in 1987.

This forum seems to be a closed shop.

I agree with posters that have said it puts people off posting. It does.

No, it is an open shop for CCFC fans....

There is a difference is there. Who thinks "I know, I have lurked for ages but I am going to sign up just to say that the number of wasps shirts are the same as city shirts".

Now somebody mentioned it, you have started with the "closed shop" line ;)

It obviously isn't it, is it? As you can see, there are plenty of people posting on different threads with a range of views.

It's a fair point but someone with a large profile needs to rally as many fans as possible. The great powers know how to manipulate and coerce for the betterment of themselves, we should flip the trick.

Yeah I mentioned the other day, get it trending on twitter. Let the world know what is being done to our football club. Show the world we won't stand for it. People will rally behind that.

Maybe we should do the same to Wasps and force them to pack up and go back to London. They can give SISU a lift. Then maybe our sporting clubs, both CCFC and CRFC might have a brighter future.

Sisu a lift, FFS they do not care about the club anymore than the next owners that will be placed in power.

Better at business how? By taking advantage of a dispute between a local authority and local football team to bag themselves a stadium on the cheap because of said dispute? By taking advantage of a local councils hatred towards the football clubs owners to get themselves a training facility?

Personally I would say they are more ruthless than SISU, care less about fans than SISU, care less about community than SISU, care less about history and tradition than SISU.

Zack, i 100% agree Wasps are more ruthless than Sisu which is why they are better at it, they dont threaten court or show picture of things they cant build or have. They will step on anyone in the way and have plans to side step every move Sisu make. So dam right they are better at business, they have done more in 1 year than Sisu have done in 8. Take them Sky blue Specs off, step out into the real world because its dog eat dog, and my point multiple times is Wasps have the bigger teeth and bigger balls.

Fight a fight you can win don't bluff or posture, FFS i dont like this anymore than the next cov fan, but face facts we are out in the pissing rain watching the CCC and Wasps get cosy talking about the future.

Is the FL AGM on at the moment in Portugal? Anderson would be at that so saying put it in writing is the most sensible option.

Chief, you keep making excuses for him. Here's an idea, he could arrange a meeting for the day he comes back... or do you already know he's having his hair cut that day?? ;)

I'm not making excuses for him. Its very simple. Wasps and CSF, and nobody else, can dictate what we can and can't lease. How difficult is it for them to actually let the football club know what that is?
Its pointless sending texts saying lets have a meeting if you refuse to say what you will offer and at the same time have the other organisation involved sending communications saying the club is out.

What that actor Hawley saying?

We need the Twitter and Facebook obsessives with followers galore to make noise. I'd do it myself but don't use them. I am thinking of painting my near naked self skyblue and running round town, Kenilworth, Leam and Warwick with flyers though...

Maybe he said put it in writing and we'll sort something when I'm back.

The point being we don't really know what was said. Not defending him as CCFC are as guilty of this at times. It's just a propaganda war.

Serious Question Zack was you this mad when Sisu took the club to NTFC, by the way im not trying to say you are wrong to want the world to know about our plight just interested.

The thing is, If I want to discuss something so serious, I would just arrange the meeting. But then I would expect to be able to agree, or not, any of the points raised. I don't know, but maybe he needs to get someone else's view on this before he meets? If not, then just set up the meeting. Do not put obstacles in the way. If this was the other way round, I bet you would be arguing this same point the same way I see it.

The Council should have shown broader vision, instead of going to war with the owners (who are nefarious of course), there were other options, especially to people whose job is supposed to be diplomacy. Now the future of the club, not as a company but as an icon and entity, is in real peril.

Apologies, I didn't actually know that.

Didn't you go to the SCG for the trust the other day?

Nick
Just to confirm, Jan is not in the Trust Board.
He does attend the SCG but does not represent the Trust, that's CJ and myself.

It's laughable...wasps MD saying he text CA 3 times to discuss this over the weekend but had no response from CA.

CA saying he's asked Wasps MD for proposals in writing but no response.

You couldn't make this bull shit up.

Where's Michael Byng and his fax machine?

Sound all a bit like when King didn't sign because of an email (was it email or fax? Either way, just another shit excuse for something not happening)

I think some may have a different view, but that wasn't really my question was you upset with Sisu for taking the club out of the city. Or are you saying you were not angry at this and the CCC started a war and got what they deserved?

I'd reply I'll be down there as soon as I get back from Portugal - with time and date. Please send me your proposals beforehand. Thank you for your offer to talk and I look forward to a constructive meeting.

Took 2 minutes to write that. We don't have time to pussy around.

I remember hearing once someone quite high up in an organisation stated that they were in a 'mediation' meeting with a contractor over a dispute, and it was agreed that the meeting wouldn't end until a mutually agreed compromise was agreed.

In reality this is what we need, but all parties would never agree a compromise I imagine in this instance!

Only other option is to bang every head that's ever been involved in this saga together at one

Absolutely CCC started the initial cold war and got exactly what they thought they deserved. I'm upset with the whole sorry shower, though your original post wasn't aimed at me. Again, there wasn't enough of a backlash against all sides. Everyone fell into both PR/Propaganda machines and came out ultimately confused and castrated.

Isn't that what he's done? He's asked them for their proposals and they won't provide them.

Who knows and its pointless discussing who said what, what is important is that Wasps proposal is very clear drop the appeal and we can talk about multiple things. That is the starting point (rightly or Wrongly) for any meeting. As said before Sisu need Wasps, Wasps might say they want talks but reality is they don't need talks, as the plan they have is in place and doesnt need or have Sisu in it.

They have never mentioned the legals in relation to the higgs.

The council and wasps are laughing there head off at our fans being blinded by hatred to SISU allowing them getting away with whatever they want. Laughing that the biggest supporters group is reluctant to back the clubs statement. Hardly shows a unified stance.
Well get of your fucking area and do something about it.
All you wankers moan about the trust you all go to no meetings don't turn up for demonstrations dont do jack shit.
Stop moaning get your arses up there make your points known and run the trust yourselves.

I don't agree with the CCC point, and i'm sure they are quite happy with the position they are in at the moment, but its good to know your opinion and i agree with everything else. It's good to debate without ridicule or picking up on grammar when you find someone with a difference of opinion on what we think is the root cause of our problem.

We need to try though. We can't just sit back and hope for the best.

Has anyone from the trust spoken to the FA?

Is the Trusts plan of action to literally just ask everyone to get around a table?

The FA didn't care before why should they now.
Keep hearing stop the planning on what grounds.
I and others have been fighting the building of house on Greenbelt around Coventry what have we archived nothing if someone wants it they get it.
Locals moaned about the new Jag plant on their doorstep?
What happened.
Come on must be a planner out there give them some help

My visit to watch the Blues at home was over 50 years ago, with my dad and brother. What has happened recently has saddened me. SISU have ruined the name of the club. So much so, that I am not buying a blues season ticket this year. Last year I stayed at the Ricoh and watched Wasps as well. They now have my season ticket money.

Treason you may say. The Wasps games are far more entertaining. The players are much nicer people - they are truly friendly and love to have a chat with the fans. I have twice now been wearing my newly acquired Wasps gear and had a player approach and say hi, take selfies.

SISU have tried to worm and coerce their way to a cheap deal to acquire the Ricoh, and I have little doubt that they did the same here too.

It hurts when someone calls your bluff, doesn't it?

True, Wasps may be new to Coventry, but my money is on them staying. They are putting their money where their heart is. In Coventry. Where (outside the city they said) are the Blues going to set up shop? Where is this new stadium location? A paper man set up to frighten The Alan Higgs Centre into a cheap deal. Nice try. Epic fail.

Allez Wasps.

This is the kind of shit we are dealing with.

As said before they dont have too mention it, they are using it though, they will be open to multiple talks if and when the appeals go away. This is the CCC tool Wasps are using to squeeze Sisu, its not about all you read, its about why certain parties are reacting they way they are. I would not believe Reed as i would Crowley its not that they lie they say and type what they are told, its by who that we should be asking.

The FA didn't care before why should they now.

Because they are the ones who will audit the academy. I asked whether the trust had been in touch to get advice on cat 2 so at least they can challenge Wasps on their offer.

Yes the fa might not give a toss, but they will when it comes to auditing and removing the cat 2 status if it comes to that.

But I thought we were against SISU because of the way they behaved around the Ricoh? Because of how they treat fans? I can't keep up, do forgive me....
