Yep, agree with that. The council do not want to destroy the club I'm sure, they just want to destroy Sisu. Would be ridiculous of the council to want to destroy the football team that has been in existence here since 1883. It's a nonsense.

That doesn't mean of course that in destroying Sisu, CCFC don't suffer the consequences.
Totally agree. I feel that all options will be open to CCFC with another owner. SISU have burnt their bridges, they only seem to be able to do business one way and that is aggressively.
I am optimistic that a buyer can be found and that they will have reassurances from Wasps, maybe even to then allowed to go in to shared ownership of the stadium. It makes perfect sense to me, half the running costs with all of the benefits. This is an attractive business model. Some business people have a reputation from gambling and turning things around. I wait in hope and anticipation

But would Wasps want to sell off shares of the Ricoh to CCFC? I don't think they would, would they?

The options have been closed off pretty much for any owner that comes in, if we were in the position now where the council had ACL still and were just trying to get SISU out and there was still the chance that a new owner could come in and take the lot then I would agree.

There is no sign of a buyer for CCFC. And there is no sign of SISU wanting to sell either.

So we should sit back and let Wasps do whatever they want. This includes taking everything that our club needs to survive and prosper. And all in the hope of another hedge fund picking up the pieces.

What planet are you on?
You want him to get down from his high Italiahorse?

It would free up capital and allow them to invest more into their team

I'm sure the options are not as one-dimensional as you seem to think.

Oh no, I am sure they would sell a little bit for the right price. It is just how that little bit would benefit CCFC, how much they would want for it etc.

They were always coming here for 100% of the Ricoh so unless there's a nice chunk of profit in it for them I can't see them doing much to change that.

I also don't buy the conspiracy theories that there's been an orchestrated plot to kill of CCFC, it's just the repetitive soundbites/statements from SISU has resulted in the other players have just decided to actually put things into action rather than talking about them.

I'm sure people will pounce on my post saying I'm just blaming SISU and I'm a CCC/Wasps lover but from the numerous statements/plans that SISU have put out over the last five years which have actually come to fruition or is even in the process of doing so?

I doubt anything that SISU are connected to in some way. I don't believe or disbelieve JS but then at the same time he's produced nothing tangible for anyone to see and touch so it's just all words. We've been here before, in fact we've been here for the last 3 years, why will this prove to be any different just because there's a new name involved? Even the wording is sounding familiar so you'll forgive me if I take it with a big pinch of salt.

Is not the fact that CCC initially refused the transfer despite having full details from JS of the proposal enough to show you there is one in exsitence?

It is a bit more than other people just putting their plans into action though isn't it?

There's no easy to get through this I'm afraid.

Short term pain for long term gain?

We can just let Sisu mess us around forever or support starving them out. In fact we don't actually have to do anything other than wait as all those involved are doing it for us. Perhaps just making Sisu known we don't want them here would help though.
It's not complicated now as all CCFC facilities will be soon be controlled by Wasps and a switch of ownership will be easy. Just need to wait.

People really now need to look at the long term.

The details of all these deals have never been disclosed, I thought Fisher did some deal then JS said no and the heads of agreement never got signed off .
I think after that happened the ACL/CCC side just decided to go elsewhere & since then SISU haven't really had a look in.
They brought it down on themselves to a large extent by playing hard ball too often & going back on what were thought to be agreements.

Really?

Things like suddenly putting talks on hold (why did they bother starting while legal action was on?) for the Ricoh, trying to block the butts with that clause, Millerchip now refusing to hand anything over, Higgs putting that clause into the Academy thing. It isn't just putting their plans out of action, it is going out of the way to disrupt CCFC too.

I think they already know to be honest.

It needs to be more public as it gives them and their backers bad publicity.
I feel a few on here are starting to feel sorry for them and it only gives them a lifeline that just delays the process.

Delays the process of what? Do you really think a few posters on here makes much difference and delays anything?

Are you on new medication or having a good time on the beer for the Euros?

Its more than a few. I would say more think its a franchise than the 'few' that don't. Its the same workings as American Football teams, who regularly franchise to other cities.

Would you be happy then if CCFC, the league team moved to say Corby for example, and an amateur CCFC stayed in Coventry? Would you crow on and on then about how that isn't a franchise?

So explain how it isn't a franchise, apart from in your honest opinion.

I think it's franchising but there is definitely a more accepted mentality towards it by the rugby crowd from my own experiences. Which I find bizzare.
Also find it bizzare that the RFA allow it!!!

Yep, all very true.

It is seemingly a different mindset in the world of rugby.

You keep ignoring my posts, I suspect because you have no answer to what I have asked for like facts not assumptions, but I will persevere.

You keep saying/suggesting Wasps will take over us/buy us/pick up the pieces etc. So for the umpteenth time can you give facts as to why you think they would ever want to buy or own us?

Whilst I respect your opinion, I respect it more when its backed by evidence not your personal opinion.

Why dont we crowd fund for a new stadium? And all have a share in it? 20 odd thousand people fans paying £300 each could raise. 6 million alone? Could speed things up.

Because they'd thought that once the current appeal had came to a conclusion SISU would decide to stop following this route?

The Butts clause thing was a twat decision which is undefendable.

Millerchip has said everyone needs to sit around the table and SISU have refused to - isn't it reasonable to expect cards being laid on the table, expecially considering SISU have mooted another site for a stadium/training facility is still in the mix?

A company don't want to get tied in with a company who are seeking litigation against them - that's wrong?

Treating SISU with caution isn't seeking to kill CCFC, it's an unfortunate byproduct of the situation at hand.

Would you do business with SISU? Trust everything they said and believe categorically they'd see it through?

You are certainly wrong if you think that I feel sorry for SISU. I don't know how anyone could accuse me of such. How many people have ripped into them as much as myself?

I am getting worried about the future of our football club. Wasps are taking over everything that was for our football club. Wasps are refusing to have talks about anything. Yet people like yourself are still sticking up for them. It is starting to look like you want them to succeed and us to fail.

I seem to remember OSB posting about this, and was saying that essentially thr bond holders own the ricoh, due to the security for the bonds, so it pretty much makes buying in a no go.

Scratches head, thinks... well who is it that owns these bonds?
If they don't go bad then 6.5% is a very good rate in today's market.
Good thing is that there is that 6 monthly info they publish about the bonds (can't remember link, will have to dredge it up).
So any default or other difficulty will be red flagged quite quickly.

Part of the loan went to making the first couple of years payments to the bond holders. This means nothing will flag for a couple of years at least.

Wasps have refused - it's they who have suspended talks.

Still let's not let facts get in the way.
