Next Sisu Out Protest? (28 Viewers)

I do to. The stadium situation we still won't own but we might actually get a deal as at the moment people won't even talk to sisu and I don't blame wasps for it myself. I blame them and ccc for being here but I'm sorry we have to play to wasps tune whether we like it or not. I don't think that's controversial just realism. Very sadly they hold all the cards and we own none.

Can't agree with this, all the bad feeling and mistrust is aimed at SISU and not CCFC
With them gone I think we would see a marked improvement in the way we are treated.

But CCFC will have nothing left to be treated better about other than a rental agreement at the Ricoh. Do you really think Wasps will be falling over themselves to give us an amazing deal just because SISU are gone? The mistrust might be aimed at SISU not CCFC, and it's SISU that have put us in that position, but it's CCC that have allowed SISU to be fucked over by Wasps in way that CCFC can never fully recover from without masses of investment and time. Masses of investment that is unlikely to be available unless bought by some rich arab or chinese consortium, and time which will leave us languishing in the lower reaches of the football league for another XX years hampered by SISU and CCC's failings to protect CCFC.

How can CCC legally stop Wasps expanding their business ?
As you know Sisu had exactly the same chances to do what Wasps have done but were unable to negotiate on it, that's assuming they really wanted to.

Wasps will take CCFC on board if it is financially beneficial to them, although CCC may be able to apply some influence on them. Unfortunately both CCC and Wasps are effected by the court cases and hence lack the motivation to assist.

That's the thing, unless it is a billionaire wanting a bit of fun it isn't going to make much difference is it?

When the Ricoh Lease was "available" still there was much more potential for somebody to come in and take the club and the lease so it was a lot prettier for potential new owners.

Unless somebody can come in and get a stadium built in Coventry somewhere (didn't the council say no land?) with an academy there the best we can possibly hope for is renting the Wasps branded academy and the wasps branded stadium.

How appealing is that to a new owner?

Could say exactly the same about Wasps.
Yes we could.
Come on get something organised we will be behind you.
Or just sit there and moan.
What are you worried about?
That you'll be the only one there, don't worry be at least 2 of us.

I'm not a gambling man, but I'd bet a pound to a pinch of s**t that land would become available as if by magic to new owners if SISU and every minute little semblance of them were gone!

The question is then the funding.

We would ideally need a new owner who would want to come in and build a stadium and give it to the club wouldn't we or give us a great rental deal with all revenues from them as the owner? Same with building an academy.

That's why it would need to be a billionaire who could come in and easily throw about 50m for a stadium.

If it was fan owned, where would we get the money for a stadium? We would be renting forever from Wasps.

Have a day off you imbecile. You really think the council would be as stupid as that considering SISU's litigious nature.

The only thing that would ensure 'dual' facility branding would be if Wasps bought the football club !? Commercially it makes sense to pool the footfall and double up buying requirements from suppliers etc. Doesn't mean the Sky Blues will ever have a lot of money to spend but could stop them vanishing altogether.
It's an appalling thought to many but the club has no options under SISU, as they either won't invest or can't, I'm not sure which !?

Which means Wasps would be distressing CCFC to get it for cheap. How would people feel?

Why do you think they are distressing them ?
They are just letting us get on with our 'plans' and they are getting on with theirs.

Sisu need to drop the court cases against all parties and concentrate on what's important for the club and not themselves. If they can't do that then they need to move on and cut their losses.

CCFC are being distressed on all sides Nick, the chief culprits being our current owners who have put us in this position. People.........feel ?? I imagine if it comes to continuation and playing in Coventry or extinction, they'll feel like continuation !? I for one cannot see any future with SISU at all and am reluctant now to part with £25 a game to temporarily prolong the bloody agony that is life under these frauds !

That's exactly why the council should be hammered about the conditions of sale ;)

Never heard of "Compulsory Purchase" without any reason? If the CCC want to do this they can nobhead.

Why would the council, using public funds, compulsory purchase land for a football stadium? Coventry has a growing population, the council's plans focus mainly on increasing the housing stock in the city. How silly would they look using public funds to build the 3rd stadium in the city? Considering they are already the freeholder for another 2.

Our 'plans'? Anderson was clear he was exploring every option including a long term deal at the ricoh, wasps broke off talks and refuse to negotiate because of 'noise'. All a clever negotiation tactic to distress the football club and leave then no choice but accept a last minute take it or leave significantly more expensive deal.

Yes! really. You'd have to be a total idiot to believe anything else.

Ah OK, It is just a whole lot of anger seems to be at CCFC and not SISU. A whole lot of people are gloating about the damage to CCFC that doesn't damage SISU.

NOPM for starters.

As for idiot? I just have eyes so can see it.

Agree - the personal dimension is key. SISU chose the wrong tactics (tactics which may have worked in the hardheaded world of commercial real estate) - they simply burned their bridges and scarified trust when their attempts at brinkmanship failed. That's why I have long called for new ownership - a new set of faces running CCFC would let us start from a clean slate and give us a better chance at getting a sustainable long term arrangement.

I've got eyes too. SISU wear the CCFC cloak to deflect anger. Do you want to borrow my specs?
NOPM.... I'd sooner see SISU f**k off and CCFC demoted down the leagues and be able to start afresh without SISU at the helm... We're heading that way anyway ;)

Nah, I don't need them. Had an eye test not so long back.

To say there is no bad feeling or mistrust aimed at CCFC, you probably need it. Especially as you say you are NOPM, against CCFC....

How could you want your own team to be demoted?

Not doing too well at the moment though are they. Losing cases and appeals turned down. ;)
In which case why are Wasps insistant that ongoing cases are called off?
Are their friends in the council afraid of something?
And no I'm not a SISU supporter. I'm just balanced enough to realise that just because SISU are the evil empire it doesn't mean that all the other parties are good guys.

I'm willing to bet(If I was a gambler) that the missing 15-20k fans would go for it if it meant a "Clean slate" with the chance of decent, footballing owners in charge. There would be only one way to go, and that is up ;)
